Ok. I reluctantly have to make a negative post today. I witnessed about the worst dog and parent situation that I may have ever seen at the dog park. These 2 women come in with a toddler who is holding a 3' stick and poking several dogs that they don't know with a stick. I hope that you know that when you bring a toddler into the dog park you're endangering our dog's lives.. There are a lot of dogs who are not used to toddlers and little kids and especially if they get in their face or poke them with a stick it can turn into a situation that should not be happening in a dog park. All it takes is for a dog to defend itself against that toddler and the police will be called and our dogs will probably be put down for their reaction. Also, as a parent why would you ever put your toddler in a situation like that? On top of all of this, their husky mauled several dogs while I was there and I'm not just talking aggressively biting I'm talking mauling other dogs to the point where to get him off of one of the dogs I had to boot their dog 5' in the air. Even the dog owner kicked her own dog. And her friend said you probably shouldn't bring him here anymore. So they are aware of his behavior and they continue to bring their dog to the dog park and they were still there when I left. The 3rd thing is I witnessed all 3 of their dogs p**p within about 10' of them while they were looking at their dogs and they did not clean up one of them. I'm not sure who these people think cleans up their dog p**p. I am mad at myself for not saying anything. But, in today's world I would rather avoid the confrontation..

It's a beautiful day for a walk in the park! Oscar's cousin, Gaia, joined us this morning and found a sweet squeaker toy.

(It looks like the Easter bunny may have stopped by the park too -- there were lots of extra tennis balls for the dogs!) 🐰
