Grooming Assistant: The purpose of this position is to provide support to the groomer by performing baths and prepping each dog or cat for their grooming appointment. In addition, the employee will assure the constant cleanliness of kennels and grooming related areas within the space.
Responsibilities Include:
*Administer baths (ordinary, flea, medicated, skunked).
*Ensure safe handling of each pet (never leave pets unattended on table/tub: ask for instruction or help from the groomers whenever necessary).
*Perform required preparation procedures for all grooming clients where applicable, such as blow drying and brushing and other tasks requested by the groomer.
*Recognize and record any unusual condition or abnormal behavior of any clients; bring these concerns to the attending groomer. For example warts, redness in ears etc.
*Do a quick let out so dogs can relieve themselves if necessary (ask groomers for instructions).
*Assists groomers with any grooming related tasks.
*Input necessary data into the client’s file.
*Make sure that the grooming space is kept clean and disinfected at the end of each shift.

****Announcement!****
We are excited to share that we have acquired Bay Area Pet Resort! We will be moving the dog and cat grooming services over to 4039 Charlevoix Ave. in the next few days. Starting on Monday January 22, all appointments will be held at the new location. We plan on sending out texts/emails to remind and spread the word. I want to sincerely Thank all my clients who have entrusted us in the care of their pets. I will continue to strive to provide my best care and compassion to your pets at the new location.

Toe Nail Talk! Did you know you can (and should) come in between grooming appointments??
To get them down to a healthy length, your dog should be getting their nails done every 1-2 weeks. Once at a healthy length, they should be done every 3-4 weeks. While here, ask about adding some color to the nails!
