Silver Lining Acres Choosing to live off-grid was an incredibly liberating decision. A self-sustaining entity has the potential to maintain self-sufficiency indefinitely. XO

The world is literally at your fingertips! Shared knowledge is a beautiful thing & bartering is welcome. In 2018, My Husband and I took a huge leap of faith purchasing 27 acres in the backwoods of Petersham, MA. Our rescue dog Root approved. The land was untouched with the exception of a quarter mile long dirt rd, which would inevitably become our driveway. Our only goal being self sufficiency, we

ren’t exactly sure what that was going to look like. We spent the first 1 1/2 years building our home, establishing the garden and then we got chickens. And then goats for days and then more chickens. Ducks and then more chickens 😍

This Homestead is completely
OFF GRID. We have 18 solar panels hooked up to a 48 volt battery pack and inverter. We grow most of our own food, raise and slaughter our meat birds and cut & split wood for heat in the winter. We added a Sheepdog to the family in 2021, because no Homestead is complete without a herder ! We plan to breed Her and hope to have the first litter of OES Sheepdog pups in 2023. My Husband has taken up Beekeeping. He has a total of 3 hives. I use the beeswax to make candles. His most recent endeavor, a portable sawmill for making lumber with trees from the land. Building and creating, wherever his dreams will take him 🤍

We are looking forward to GROWTH, on many levels, and providing as much as nature allows to those who surround us. CHEERS ☺️
& God Bless.
