This how a tasked-trained service dogs should act in a restaraunt environment. Settled not begging for food no barking not asking for attention from wait staff or customers even when they attempt to interact with them which is a big NO! Checking in here or there is a necessity but if nothing out of ordinary going on accepting anything but total neutrality is disrespectful and shows your dog is not ready for all real world environments.

Super exciting ANNOUNCEMENT! We have temperament tested another litter of Golden Retrievers from Fiddle Leaf Farm Goldens . Not just any litter!!! A repeat breeding of Mushu and Shimmer Toruk's parents. After testing all 6 boys a little firey ray of sunshine came above the rest and has been chosen as a service dog prospect. Yellow collar who will be named Lucian which means Light-Bringer.

Full name Frank Luke's Lucian of the Nights Sky after medal honor recipient in WW1. All of our dogs named after medal of honor recipients will go to veterans :) here is a little video about Frank Luke and why we should remember him.

Toruk before work pets with his new family. He is progressing well in training and is doing familiarization lessons a few times a month till he is 100% proofed and ready to go to his handler.

He did his first infield alert with his new handler today and in a store with distractions! Her heart rate spiked and he let her know right away so she could hydrate and prevent a seizure!!! So over the moon proud of him. He is wise beyond his age .

Toruk's First Retrieves with Behavior Chained in public. Reliability for tasks under distractions is absolutely necessary for service dogs. Commitment to the task. For now we use a ball but quickly it will become medication bag, water, or any other thing he might need to retrieve. I help him here with my voice to let him know the decisions hes making are the right ones. This will fade out as he gets more reps and understanding of the task at hand or should I say paw 😉

We visit Blue Seal Peterborough Seal all the time with our personal dogs and clients whether its board and trains or day trains! They are so welcoming !!

We had some friendly visitors from Paws from Heaven Dog Training We had a great time being part of their training session and learning from their trainers.

Toruks First Glimmer at Dawn has found his forever family. He will be a seizure alert dog as well as helping with other tasks such as item retrieval and deep pressure therapy. He will remain with us for another full year of training to make sure he is dialed in and exposed to as many environments as possible so him and his handler can be a successful team together.

He went to a HUGE reptile expo in Manchester and did such a good job in the very high distraction environment. Stay tuned for reels on that adventure!!

Its Loose leash everyday! But alot of loose leash work in our private lessons today! Bridgette 8 month old Spaniel!

Jack and Sparrow Loose leash walking! The 2 Weimaraner mixes first private lesson. LOOSE we train for results they spent $3k on another trainer for 3 weeks of inperson training for leash walking and couldnt get the results we did in ONE lesson. Proof is in the pudding. The male is also dog reactive but with some leadership his reactivity will quickly turn into confidence through structure, enagement, and play.
