This perspective is so refreshing One of the greatest misconceptionsā€”whether weā€™re talking about people or petsā€”is that a terminal prognosis means there is nothing left to do.

In reality, there is often so much left to do: relieve suffering, preserve dignity, strengthen relationships, create meaningful moments, and focus on quality rather than quantity of time.

I love this Talk because it challenges the idea that a terminal diagnosis is only a story of loss. It offers a perspective of acceptance, intention, and living fully within the time that remains.

This is the heart of hospice care. Not giving up. Simply shifting the goal from curing disease to maximizing comfort and quality connections for the time we have left.
