To our community,
We have some difficult news to share.
As of April 1st, animal services are currently transitioning and may vary by city; our organization will no longer be operating the Petaluma Animal Shelter.
We want to say this: our staff, volunteers, and fosters have given everything they have to this work. Their compassion and dedication have never wavered, and we are incredibly grateful for them.
A special thank you to our supporters, adopters, and volunteers—you have meant everything to the animals in our community. For every donation, every share of an adoption post, every tiny newborn kitten given a second chance in a loving foster home—thank you. For every dog given a much-needed shelter break, every walk, every moment of care and connection—thank you. To those working behind the scenes to reunite lost pets with their families, we see you and appreciate you deeply.
The list of gratitude is endless. We love and appreciate you all, and we are truly thankful to have been part of this community.
Right now, our focus is on making sure animals and the community continue to receive care during this transition. We will share a separate post with information on where to go for services depending on the jurisdiction within which you live.
We ask our community to remain respectful during this transition as services shift.
Thank you for standing with us, for caring about the animals, and for being part of this community.
