Barnacle Eventing

Barnacle Eventing Three Day Eventing Head trainer Josh Barnacle is based out of a private facility in Petaluma just north of the Marin county line.

Primarily a three day eventing barn, we also compete in dressage and jumper shows. We have started and produced many young sport horses. We offer lessons, training and competition programs, as well as starting and selling horses.

Skyrise aka Sky is a 12yr old 16.1h OTTB gelding who is looking for his next partner. If you are looking for a horse that is the golden retriever of OTTB’s, who is exactly the same at home as he is at a show, a guy who just wants to be your bestie, then this is the horse for you. He has been successfully competed by an AA and a trainer with placings through the 2* level. Sky would be perfect for a YR or AA looking to gain miles. Sky clips, loads, ties, stands for farrier/vet, etc. Sky is TIP’s registered and was the west coast training champion in 2020. He also has received the USEA blue ribbon award. He won the Inaugural 1* at Woodside Horse Trials in 2023. Sky has the best personality, a true in your pocket guy. He would be happy just to hang out with you all day or get to work. He has consistently scored in the 20’s on the flat, quick and clear on cross country, and careful in show jumping. Priced in the mid fives with the perfect home being a top priority.
