Bahahaha!!! Hahaha!! Ok... catching my breath....bahahaha
Happy first day of April. We thought today would be a good time to introduce you all to our newest program down here at MPD, the "Miniature Mounted Patrol Unit."
We know what you are thinking, "why a miniature horse?" Well, we've thought this through and have no idea why we are the first to think of it, but the benefits are significant:
- Reduced injury risk from falling off horse.
- We can ride up on someone and talk to them face to face, yet still remain on the horse, thus in a position of power.
- The horse is at the perfect height to detect drugs in people's pockets.
- We can now say "reckon" and "mosey" officially in police reports.
- We can look at our co-workers and say "Today, we ride."
- If the horse is going too slow, the officer can put his feet down to pick up speed.
These are just the highlights of this exciting program. So please keep and eye out for Corporal Dode and "Hercules" patrolling the streets of Medford.
