Tired from all your online shopping on Cyber Monday? Refresh your spirits by participating in #GivingTuesday2021 . Pick your favorite non-profit and throw a little love their way. Every dollar counts. The warmth in your heart is free.
Don't have a favorite? How about mine! Flat Broke Farm not only rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes farm animals, but they have always been a leader in the evacuation of animals during the devastating California fires.
Giving Tuesday is in just 3 weeks! Jameson Humane gives back in several different ways. From our Community Pet Pantry, giving out pet food and supplies to families in need to our free spay and neuter clinics, helping control the overpopulation of cats and dogs, Jameson is here to help. We would like to share with you two recent occasions where we were able to give back by helping provide transport in a rescue that saved the lives of several goats. Please consider donating to Jameson Humane this Giving Tuesday (11/30) so we can continue to grow and give back in even more ways!

Jameson Humane Volunteer Coordinator, Craig, picked up five goats and transported them in the back of his personal car to their forever home! These goats were rescued from a neglectful petting zoo, suffering from lice, lack of shelter, and malnutrition. After living at the “petting zoo” their entire life, being bred repeatedly, and separated from their kids, they are now loved and safe! Thank you, Kira, at Genevieve'sGentleHeartsRescue for leading this rescue, Funky Chicken, Kim Neault Kunst, Alana Budak, and Karla Herica for your help with rescuing, fostering, and adopting these lucky goats! Our sincerest apologies to Craig’s wife, Jo Annette for the newly “decorated” back seat of your car!
For the second rescue transport, Craig tarped and lined the back of the Jameson van and drove over rocky washed out roads from Napa to Smartsville. After picking up Oliver the goat, Craig made the long trek to bring him to his foster home in Cotati at Flat Broke Farm, thanks Erica!
Thank you from all of the animals, volunteers, and Jameson family for supporting us this year and for many years to come.

Thanks to Melissa Nygard from Tommy’s transport team, this blind mama cow and pig from the same farm are now safe! Mama’s son, a steer, would not load so he will be picked up and reunited with his mom next week at One Living Sanctuary. A woman originally saved this mom and son duo and then adopted them out to what she thought was a good home but now no longer wanted them and they were in dire need of rescue. Erica from Flat Broke Farm will be able to help Melissa as loading the steer will need more people than anticipated. Because the steer would not load though, Melissa was able to convince the people to surrender the piggy as well who will be fostered at Herd & Flock Animal Sanctuary. Thank you so much to everyone who made this possible!
For Giving Tuesday, we share a story that is so near and dear to our hearts. This past August, when the LNU Fire began to threaten Clearlake, Lake County, hundreds of people and their animals evacuated their homes within minutes. One family in particular fled to Santa Rosa and reached out to our friends at Flat Broke Farm, seeking temporary foster care for their beloved furry friends: Zedd, a four-year-old dog; Zelda, a month-old puppy who is no stranger to challenging situations; and their kitten, Simba. Flat Broke contacted Jameson Humane to help out. Without delay, we tapped into our network and, in just under two hours, our community responded, offering up temporary foster homes for all three animals. Sensational response!
During the upheaval after being evacuated, the family had complete peace of mind knowing their animals were in good hands with Jameson Humane and the fosters. Each animal received the necessary care before returning home, including wellness checks and necessary microchipping, vaccinations, and spay/neuter care (big shout-out to Dr. Katy Wilson for spearheading). Jameson continues to work with the family to ensure we remain an important resource for the family. Their reunification day was full of happy tears and great joy!
Deeply rooted in our vision to improve animal welfare, through collaborating with our community and partner organizations, Jameson Humane is always prepared to respond to those in need, including these four-legged friends who came to Jameson in a time of mayhem. This is just one story of many, where Jameson is here to provide safety and support during uncertain times. As a result, our community can rest easy knowing that there’s an organization out there that has a solution.
On this Giving Tuesday, please consider Sharing this Post and donating to Jameson Humane so we can continue providing the critical care for humans and their animals in our ever-expanding community who are in need.
THANK YOU.

Since we seem to have a bunch of Johnny Cash fans out there, we wanted to share a little of his story. Johnny Cash was found abandoned wandering the streets of Lake County with two other goats. He was brought to U.C. Davis where they discovered he had a hernia that had gone on too long to fix. He was given a vasectomy and then adopted to a home with a llama. The llama wasn’t too keen on having a goat around so Johnny Cash found a new home at Flat Broke Farm for the last year. He is now back with us and brought along his best friend Stella. He will continue to live out the rest of his rockstar days with us and we are happy to have him here. @ Goatlandia Farm Animal Sanctuary

I am a California girl and my heart is breaking at the devastation that these fires are creating😓 In the past I have helped with Hurricane Harvey, Hawaii Lava Flow Animal Rescue Network and the 2018 Northern California Camp fire. We did clothes and personal necessity drives but now with Covid 19 how can we help? I started a Animal Rescue Fundraiser
CALI STRONG to get emergency funds to NVADG a backyard movement that really stepped up with the Chico and Paradise fires.

I hope this is ok. I'm from Sarasota, FL and we heard what you are doing and going through with the wildfires. We have a Facebook group, Giving Back To Those In Need. It is kind of an auction group. You purchase spots to win an item and a live spin is done to determine the winner. Starting at 9pm est last night, we chose you as our recipient this week. All money raised over the cost of the items will be donated to Flat Broke Farm. Please come join our group, share, invite, have some fun and help us raise money to help you. 😊 All items are brand new through Amazon and shipped directly to the winner. Hope to see you there 😁
