Wilco isn’t a big box; we’re a big family. Wilco’s story began over 85 years ago when a handful of farmers joined forces to strengthen their buying power and support each other. Nearly 2,000 local farmers own this cooperative, whose roots date back to the 1930s and has grown to serve more than 500,000 customers today.

Our purpose is simple: to strengthen agriculture and rural lifestyles. That’s why we operate in three areas; Agribusiness, Energy, and Farm Stores -- all designed to support farms, families, and communities across Oregon, Washington, and Northern California.

“As a Wilco member, customer and board member I can attest to what a fantastic organization our co-op is,” Glenn Goschie said. “We have a long history, good management, a good board and while finance is important, we always look at the care of the employee and customer, not just the financial aspect of the cooperative." That’s the cooperative difference.

And as we continue to grow, we remain rooted in the same values that started it all: community, cooperation, and care for the land and people who make agriculture possible.

For the entire month of May, Wilco is happily partnering with Pets Lifeline of Sonoma Valley to help the furry friends of this community! The pandemic has taken it's toll on our community, both two legged and four. Pets Lifeline has began collecting dog and cat food to distribute to community members in need, and for the entire month of May we're asking our customers to help by purchasing an extra bag of pet food and dropping it in the Pets Lifeline barrel that is located at the front of our Petaluma store.
