Brought in on 06/2/2026 at 9:00 AM and found on Felton Rd in the Town of Schuyler Falls

Per NYS Ags & Mkts law, Article 7; the state allows a minimum of five days to redeem your dog however Elmore SPCA allows seven-day period in which you can redeem your dog.

The redemption process is as follows:

1-Provide a rabies certificate showing your dog is current on rabies.

2-Provide a copy of the dog's current dog license (document not tags) *if your dog is currently licensed the rabies information will be on the dog license.

3-Pay subsequent redemption fee's.

** Please be advised, redemption fees are set by the town in which the dog is seized; those fees are collected by Elmore SPCA and then forwarded to the municipality. **

We want to take a moment to celebrate our employee, Emily, and her incredible accomplishment! On Saturday, Emily graduated from Plattsburgh State University with her Bachelors in Science of Human Development and Family Relations with a Focus in Child Care. She has worked so hard for this degree, and at the same time has dedicated so much of herself to caring for the animals at the shelter, too. We could not be more proud of her! If anyone sees Emily, please be sure to congratulate her!
