Family Farm Kennel started as a dream, but my love for animals started long before that dream ever became a reality. ❤️🐾
I graduated as a Certified Veterinary Technician, where I had the opportunity to work with small animals, exotic animals, and zoo animals. I also worked as a veterinary technician in an emergency room setting. Those experiences with THE COOLEST Veterinarians helped shape my knowledge, my compassion, and my desire to care for animals in a way that goes beyond simply meeting their needs.
Eventually, I began pet-sitting, never knowing just how much those first steps would mean to me years later. Then grooming.
In fact, I am still caring for the very first pet I ever watched, a sweet girl named Shelbi. Her sister has since passed away, which is a reminder of just how precious the time we have with these animals truly is. ❤️ There is something incredibly special about being trusted with someone’s beloved pets over the years and becoming part of their lives. Those relationships are gifts I will never take for granted.
Ten years. Ten years of hard work, learning, growing, loving, serving, and building something that started as a dream in my heart.
When I look back at where it all began, I could never have imagined all the wonderful people we would meet, all the precious animals we would care for, and all the relationships we would build along the way.
I want to share something personal with you. My one prayer that has always remained close to my heart is that God would allow my husband and me to serve as many people as possible.
I pray that He gives us the opportunity to make a difference, touch lives, build meaningful relationships, and make people feel that they matter.
I didn’t pray to be recognized. I prayed for the opportunity to serve.
And today, I sit here feeling overwhelmed with gratitude because, in so many ways, I can see those prayers being answered. Sometimes God answers our prayers in ways we never expected, and sometimes He reminds us to stop, look around, and appreciate just how far He has brought us.
Family Farm Kennel truly is a family effort. My husband and children have a little piece of our heart invested in what we do, and I couldn’t imagine this journey without them. To build this dream with them is truly a blessing!

Every pet who comes into our care is important to us. Every personality, every wagging tail, every familiar face, and every reunion with a pet we have known for years means something to us. We know these aren’t just animals to you. They are your babies, your companions, your comfort, and your family. We understand the trust it takes to let someone else care for them, and we are so grateful that you have trusted us with such an important part of your lives.
And that is one of the reasons our kennel is called Family Farm Kennel. We don’t always get everything right but I can sure tell you we try very hard and do not take our jobs lightly.
We want every customer to feel welcomed, valued, and appreciated. We want every furry loved one entrusted to us to receive the same love and compassion we would want for our own.
When you support our business, you are doing so much more than you may realize. You are helping us continue doing what we love. You are helping us provide for our family. You are allowing us to keep pursuing a dream that has grown into something far bigger than we ever imagined.
And every one of you who has been part of these 10 years has helped shape the story of Family Farm Kennel.
Being recognized as a Top 10 Kennel in Kentucky for 2026 by BusinessRate, based on Google reviews, is an honor that we will cherish. To think that the work we put our hearts into has been recognized in this way is truly humbling.
But as special as this award is, it will never mean more to us than the relationships we have built and the trust you have placed in us.
We didn’t begin this journey chasing awards. We began with a love for animals, a dream for our family, and a prayer that we could make a difference in the lives of others.
To see where that dream has taken us after 10 years leaves me emotional in the best possible way.
There are no words big enough to express the gratitude we feel for every single person who has played a part in this journey.
As we look toward the future, my prayer is that God continues to give us the strength, wisdom, patience, and opportunity to serve even more people. I pray that we never lose sight of why we started, that we never become too busy to appreciate the people who support us, and that we always remember the responsibility and blessing that come with caring for your beloved pets.
Today, I am reminded that dreams do come true. Prayers are heard. Hard work matters. And sometimes, the blessings we receive are far greater than anything we ever thought to ask for.
This recognition may have our kennel’s name on it, but the love, support, and trust of our customers are what make it so meaningful. ❤️
