My friend shared this with me and I thought it was a great idea for our pets! We used to serve this to our clients when I worked at the spa. Very refreshing for humans too!
Cucumber Water for Dogs 🥒💧
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced 🥒
- 4 cups of fresh, cold water 💧
Instructions:
1. Prepare the cucumber: Wash the cucumber thoroughly and slice it thinly. You can leave the peel on, as it contains nutrients, but ensure it's clean and free from any pesticides.
2. Mix the water: Fill a large bowl or pitcher with 4 cups of fresh, cold water.
3. Add the cucumber slices: Drop the cucumber slices into the water and let them infuse for a few minutes. You can also gently stir the water to help release the cucumber flavor.
4. Serve: Pour the cucumber water into your dog’s water bowl. Make sure the water is at a comfortable temperature for your dog.
5. Store leftovers: If you have leftover cucumber water, store it in the refrigerator and use it within a day.
This refreshing cucumber water can help keep your dog hydrated and provide a mild, natural flavor that many dogs enjoy. Cucumber is low in calories and contains vitamins and minerals that are beneficial for dogs. Just be sure to introduce it gradually and watch for any signs of allergies or digestive issues. Enjoy this cool and healthy treat for your furry friend!
