🏜 Prima and Esabelle have headed out on a brand new adventure!

They have been selected by Best Friends Animal Society in Kanab, Utah to join their amazing animal sanctuary. 🐾 We are so honored to work with them and are very excited for our chosen kitties.

🐱🐶🐰 Best Friends Animal Sanctuary is the largest no-kill rescue in the country. They have areas of their facility dedicated to cats, dogs, horses, pigs, bunnies, birds, etc. The sanctuary is considered a “home-between-homes” for the animals in their care. 🐴🐷🐦

🐈 Cat World was created for their feline residents, and it is made up of 11 buildings – each of which are dedicated to the individual needs of the cats housed there. Each building even has its own catio for the cats to enjoy the beautiful Utah weather and landscapes. ☀️

🩷 Cat World provides cats “the opportunity to live a life of dignity while receiving the medical care, nutrition, attention, and love they need” to prepare for permanent homes.

🐾 Prima has been with 4 Paws for most of her life, as she is now one and half years old. Her FeLV has been a challenge in managing, but she has an awesome, fighting spirit and a good attitude through it all. We know Best Friends is the perfect place to take on her special needs as a kitty with chronic health issues.

🐾 Esabelle has been with 4 Paws for a little over a year. Despite two failed adoption attempts, she remains incredibly shy and aloof of people. We know that Best Friends has the experts, wide open spaces, and plenty of cat friends to help Esabelle become her best and most comfortable self.

🥹 After farewell hugs and kisses, crating them up, and getting their belongings together, Prima and Esabelle were on their way to Utah at about 10:30 AM this morning (almost a 5 and half hour drive from Phoenix).

😻 Thank you to our staff, socializers, volunteers, visitors, and their fosters for showing love and care towards Prima and Esabelle while they were with us.

😻 And thank you, again, to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary for partnering with us to help Prima and Esabelle thrive and flourish on their journey to finding their furever home.

Cat of the Week ~ Geralt

I am such a handsome boy! My name is Geralt and I am 3 ½ years old. My fur is short & has a beautiful black sheen. Don't let me start on my green eyes! I love people and being pet and held. I am talkative & like to play too. I was originally left behind when my owner moved, but a kind neighbor brought me to Sun Cities 4 Paws. I am on a special diet to keep me handsome & healthy. 🐱🐰🐣 From 4 Paws, we want to wish everyone and their pets a safe and happy Easter!🐾🩷

Pet Safety Tip Reminders:

🌷 Easter lillies are one of the most dangerous flowers to have around cats. If you have cats, please don't have these flowers in your home as every part of the plant is toxic to them (even the pollen). Other common spring flowers like daffodils, oleanders, and tulips are also very toxic.

🍫 Easter means lots of delicious foods like chocolate, ham, and hot cross buns. Those chocolate Easter bunnies are toxic to both cats and dogs. Any treat containing xylitol will also make them sick. Fatty foods like ham can cause digestive upset. And hot cross buns commonly contain raisins, currants, and sultanas - all of which will make your dog or cat sick.

🌱 Easter baskets containing foil wrapping, fake plastic grass, small toys, ribbon on gifts, and plastic eggs can all be choking hazards for cats and dogs and cause intestinal blockages.

🐰🐥 As cute as baby bunnies, chicks, and ducklings are, they should not be given as gifts on Easter. Pets are a lifelong commitment and each one deserves enough space, dedication, special care to thrive.

Cat of the week ~ Muffin

I am such a cuddler! My name is Muffin & I am 13 ½ years young. My fur is a cross between a tortie and calico and medium length. I love to be brushed. I don’t play much as I like to be with my human and lay with you whether watching TV or laying down. I have a special cat house (called a cubby) I love to sleep in when you are not around. I may need a ramp or steps to get up on the bed with you. If a lap kitty is what you want, I am your girl! Don’t let my age deter you as I am healthy, just a little older.
