Just a yearly reminder, even on the dirt and asphalt in front of the salon the temps can get pretty hot on their sensitive feet

🌞🐾 Hot Weather Reminder for Pet Parents! 🐾🌞

With summer temps soaring, don’t forget that sidewalks, asphalt, gravel, and even artificial turf can get extremely hot — and can burn your dog’s paws in just seconds! 😢🔥
Did you know that when it’s 85°F outside, the pavement can be a scorching 130°F or hotter? 😱 That’s hot enough to burn your dog’s paw pads in under a minute!

Here’s a quick tip:
Before heading out for a walk, place the back of your hand on the pavement. If it’s too hot for you to hold it there for 5 seconds, it’s too hot for your pup’s paws!

Signs of paw pad burns include:
🚫 Limping or refusing to walk
🚫 Licking or chewing at feet
🚫 Blisters or red, peeling pads

How to protect those paws:
✅ Walk during cooler times (early morning or evening)
✅ Stick to grass and shaded areas
✅ Try paw wax or dog booties for extra protection
✅ Keep walks short on hot days

This boy soaked up every bit of love and attention like he deserved it (and then some). Total sweetheart with a whole lot of charm—and those spots?! Come on 😍

Sweet little Hazel came in for her very first puppy trim today 🐾💕

She was a little unsure at first (which is totally normal!), so we took everything nice and slow, gave her lots of love, and let her take it all in at her own pace. By the end, she was already starting to relax and trust the process 🥹

First grooms are so special to us—it’s where we start building that comfort and relationship that will last her whole life. Hazel did such a good job, and we are so proud of her 💖

Can’t wait to watch this girl grow and continue to gain confidence each visit ✂️

I want to take a moment to appreciate my other best friend, Shelley. She’s become the calmer one between the two of us, the one who isn’t afraid to call me out when I’m less than calm and collected. She was there from the very beginning, helping me build my salon, and honestly, I couldn’t do what I do without her.

Over the years, Shelley has grown into such a talented groomer. She’s found her own style, and she’s built her clientele, one happy pet at a time.

I am endlessly proud of her and so grateful to have her by my side every step of the way. 💛

Karie took a huge leap of faith on me when she left her manager position to come work here, not knowing what the future would look like or if I could even keep her schedule full. That kind of trust is something I will forever be grateful for.

Not only has she been an incredible support to me through everything over the past few years, but she is also truly an amazing groomer. The care, patience, and attention she gives to every single dog that comes through our doors does not go unnoticed. She takes her time, builds trust with even the most nervous pups, and consistently sends them home looking and feeling their absolute best.

Our clients and their dogs are so lucky to have her and so am I. She’s not just a huge part of this business, she’s one of my best friends.

Rex came in for a good bath and brush out to keep his coat looking and feeling great. Rex can be a nervous boy, but he always does really well for everything and tries his best. With a little patience and lots of gentle handling, he did awesome today.

Such a sweet boy and we’re proud of him for being so brave! 💙

Mr. Rosewood came in for his fresh cut today and left looking like a total gentleman 🐾✂️

We cleaned up his handsome face, sharpened up that schnauzer beard, and gave him a smooth, even trim all over. And can we talk about that head tilt?! He knows he looks good. 💙

Such a sweet boy on the table — calm, curious, and soaking up all the attention.
