The Distracted Dog is in search of a full/part time Dog Trainer to join our growing team. This role is crucial as we continue to provide top-notch care and training for dogs of various sizes and breeds.
Responsibilities Include:
* Walking, grooming and training dogs.
* Supervising daily activities such as play and exercise.
* Maintaining clean and hygienic living spaces for dogs.
* Feeding and watering, ensuring all dietary needs are met.
* Monitoring health, administering medications, and keeping detailed logs.
* Communicating with clients
We Are Looking For Someone Who:
* Is 18 years or older
* Lives near Peoria/East Peoria Illinois
* Has reliable transportation. Vehicles that can accommodate at least one kennel is a plus.
* Possesses a genuine interest in dog behavior modification.
* Willingness to work with reactive, aggressive, or anxious dogs.
* Is available to shadow our experienced trainers before officially starting (flexible hours).
