We are hiring!

At Reefscapes, we service over 100 clients from Fairhope, AL to Destin, FL. These clients range from 15 gallon freshwater tanks to 10,000 gallon saltwater tanks with some ponds as well. As an aquarium technician, you would be maintaining these aquariums either weekly or bi-weekly. Maintenance includes basic husbandry, water changes, testing, filter cleaning, etc.

Key Responsibilities
-Maintain multiple types and sizes of aquariums
-Practice basic and complex husbandry on multiple aquatic environments (freshwater, saltwater, reef, pond, etc)
-Obtain accurate water quality results
-Identify and treat a variety of aquatic diseases
-Troubleshoot issues with plumbing, equipment, and livestock
-Aid in setting up new systems
-Communicate with clients about their aquarium

Requirements
-High school diploma or GED
-Drivers license with clean background
-Ability to lift up to 50-100 lbs
-Able to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of environments
-Be reliable and punctual and able to work Monday-Friday with occasional weekends/holidays (in case of emergency)

Desired qualifications
-Open water SCUBA certification
-AALSO certifications
-Past experience with aquariums
-Basic plumbing and electrical experience
