As I am now learning as a military spouse, life is unpredictable. Orders have changed and I will now be leaving the state of Maryland to move to Point Magu California for what’s looking like a very extended period of time. Our end game for flight training is Pensacola FL but we are pending those orders. So, this is my farewell to all my horse folks in MD, I have enjoyed my time with your beautiful horses. Thank you for the memories of this beautiful state. Looking forward to the next chapter and many adventures to come 🤠

Week 3: Working with queen under saddle. Got our first ride today. I started training this horse without much or any background on her. With my experience from training dozens of horses over the years I always start ground up to build the solid foundation we will need later in their training. Every horse I ride has to know the basics of flexing. If you can’t flex a horse you will not be able to stop them. Queen has been flexing good on her left side but again, here you will see on her right side when asked to flex she has her spooky brain reaction. But we are making progress with this girl and I am excited to continue her training.

Working on getting Serenity use to going over the jumps. Next week we will hopefully raise them higher. But already I can feel her getting more comfortable and eager to try out what I’m asking of her. She’s very excited to have a job now 🤠

Week 2: Back at it with Queen 11 year old TB mare, working on flexing under saddle. First time she didn’t quite understand the assignment. I’ll share her improvement next 🤠

Update pic of Mosby the 3 year old TB gelding I did the ground up experience on. After getting his first few rides on him, getting him into that walk, trot, and canter for the first time. His owner then went on to train him in jumping and they are now enjoying their wins together 🤠 I love to see where my training horses go after my time is up with them. Thank you Sarah Pask for sharing this awesome pic with me! 💕💕

Let’s welcome back Serenity! After a month off of training (due to my recent marriage🥳) she’s back with me again. This week I just wanted to give her a refresher on her ground work and see how she would move under the saddle. Next week she will be joining me back in the arena where I will be starting her on jumps. 🤠

Week 1 Queen: Our first session lunging on the lead line. Defiantly a few boogers on the right side. A little uncertainty and a lot of pushiness. She’s very intelligent and you guys can see the improvement from just 10 minutes of work. Looking forward to getting better acquainted with one another. 🤠

Week 6 Training with Serenity, I’m no English jumper but this girl has come a long way with me 🤠. Defiantly starting to feel that trust with her, she’s been more willing and calm natured this week. Can’t wait to see where she goes next! 💁🏼‍♀️💕💕
