Poor Cassius was sprayed by a skunk! 🦨😷 To get rid of the smell skip the tomato juice and instead apply a mixture of baking soda, dish soap and peroxide to the coat WITHOUT GETTING IT WET as water will intensify the odor. Let the mixture sit for 10 minutes, repeat as needed then bathe with shampoo. Cassius was sent home feeling and smelling much better!

Proper grooming isn't just about looks, it's also about knowing how to groom different coat types. Nole was repeatedly shaved before being rehomed, which is not recommended for a double coat like he has, as that can cause the hair to be patchy and negatively affect how it grows back. After a few months of proper grooming, his hair is slowly growing back but the damage clipping him did is still evident.

Hair can tangle while it's growing, especially in high friction areas such as the underarms and nails can also become overgrown quickly, which can cause pain or posture problems. An 8 week schedule keeps Coco comfortable and clean!
