⭐️ Elizabeth, Veterinary Assistant! ⭐️

While we know this week is about celebrating Registered Veterinary Technicians, we wanted to also give a shout out to our future RVT and mixed animal veterinary assistant! Elizabeth has found her calling in helping silly goats recover from fractures, ensuring kitties always have Churu snacks to eat, and making sure Dr. Casey always has an extra hand on farm calls!

Elizabeth grew up in Maine but moved to Ohio to attend THE Ohio State University. She earned an Associate Degree in Animal Science with a focus in Beef Production. She is currently enrolled in the Veterinary Technician program at Penn Foster. She resides with her husband on their beef and grain farm, along with their dog Tula.

⭐️ Kendra, RVT! ⭐️

Kendra is our veterinary nurse turned practice manager! Although her duties don't include as much patient care, she focuses on making sure her team is taken care of while handling finance, HR, marketing, and inventory. Every decision she makes is rooted in the desire to grow and help more patients and clients receive veterinary care!

Kendra earned an Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology, a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration, and a Master of Business Administration. She worked in small animal medicine for the last 15 years, with the last five being in practice management. She became a Certified Veterinary Practice Manager through VHMA.

Kendra is married to Ron, and they have two children, a retired rescued greyhound, and a flock of chickens. They enjoy camping and fishing on Lake Erie.

⭐️ Julie, RVT! ⭐️

Julie is our small animal veterinary nurse that has seen it all! She is an incredible wealth of knowledge as she has over 25 years of experience! She remains calm in the midst of chaos and emergencies and is a rockstar when it comes to veterinary dentistry and radiology.

Julie grew up in northwest Ohio. She graduated from Stautzenberger College with her Associate of Science in Veterinary Technology in 2000. She resides with her fiancée and her boxer, Roxie. She has two adult children. She enjoys outdoor activities with her family.

⭐️ Michelle, RVT! ⭐️

Michelle is our small animal veterinary nurse that handles it all! She is incredibly detail oriented and attentive, which makes her great when she is calculating and monitoring anesthesia. She has excellent patient care and excels with client education during our outpatient appointments as well!

Michelle grew up in northeast Ohio. She graduated from Cleveland State University earning a Bachelor Degree in Biology. Then, she earned her Veterinary Technician Degree from Penn Foster College. She enjoys reading, gardening, & spending time with her husband, family, two golden retrievers, and flock of chickens and ducks!

⭐️Meet Janelle, RVT!⭐️

Janelle is a jack of all species! She is primarily a large animal veterinary nurse who also lends a hand for our small animal patients too. She is our expert on cattle reproduction and manages our partnership with Boviteq so we can provide advanced IVF solutions at our haul-in facility.

Janelle grew up in northwest Ohio on a beef cattle farm, where she developed a strong appreciation for agriculture and animal care. She graduated from THE Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s in Animal Science, and later earned her Veterinary Technician degree from Penn Foster College. She resides with her husband Jacob, their twin daughters, and their cat, Ollie. Outside of work, she enjoys playing sports, working with cattle, and spending time with her family.

They are essential to providing skilled and compassionate care to animals, supporting our clients through education, and strengthening our veterinary healthcare team to make a difference in the lives of pets and livestock.

Registered Veterinary Technicians must:
✅Graduate from an accredited college with an Associate or Bachelor Degree of Science in Veterinary Technology
✅Pass the Veterinary Technician National Exam
✅Practice lifelong learning through Continuing Education licensure requirements

BVD link is attached. This will take place during check in from 7am-9am as well. CASH ONLY (10$ for test only, 30$ for EID with the test) paid to OCA.

Our team recently completed a 4-hour, hands-on continuing education session with a Veterinary Technician Specialist (VTS) in Dentistry!

We focused on learning the best techniques for obtaining high-quality dental radiographs using our new dental radiology equipment. Dental X-rays are an essential part of a complete oral health assessment because they allow us to identify problems below the gumline that can’t be seen during a routine exam.

Investing in advanced equipment and hands-on training helps our team provide more accurate diagnostics and better dental care for our patients. 🐾🦷
