Ascent Griffons

Ascent Griffons We breed and hunt Wirehaired Pointing Griffon puppies. Ascent Griffons was founded in 2020 with our first dog ‘Stonyridge Locked and Loaded’ or “Gus” for short.

We then added ‘Ascents Faith’ and ‘Ascents Lucy’ shortly after that. While our dogs are young we are long on experience. We have 31 years (a lifetime for me) of experience with our partner Trinity Bretons which is run by my dad and brother. Driven by a love of dogs and hunting we decided to put that experience to work for ourselves and to give our children the same experience we had. Love for hunt

ing both upland game and waterfowl paired with a desire for a great family dog led us to the versatile hunting and hypoallergenic Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. We love their natural drive for birds, retrieving, the water, and their love for people and look forward to many days in the field, at the lake, and in the house!

Red is from our beloved Willow and is an incredible water fowler and upland hunter. She’s sweet tempered, smart, and loyal.

Loch is described from his owner as one of the most enthusiastic dogs in the field. He loves to hunt and he loves to be a part of the family.

This is what we breed for: great genetics that make great hunters and great family members.
