Last night we rode the horses for the first time together! I mentally prepared most of the day as well as meditated to try to release any nervous energy. As usual as soon as I get around the horses they call bull on me and feed off of my underlying energy. Aspen was so restless during tacking, that we had to make some adjustments on the fly, as well as some Reiki work, to get him tacked up and Nick mounted. As I walked to Willow to get her ready. I figured out fairly quickly on the walk the biggest issue was me. Realizing that adjusting to making space to lead with love and putting my wants and needs on the back burner is necessary to help set Nick and Aspen up for success and will take some sacrifices! Willow set such a beautiful example of being selfless last night showing me how to grow. She waited while we worked the energy through us and Aspen, with such patience and love. She never fails to teach me humility. We got into the arena and I could feel her nervousness start to rise. I allowed her space to circle the block until she settled then asked her to go together with me on this journey yet again. After the first lap I felt something in her expand in the most beautiful energetic way. Any lingering fears of losing my special bond or time with her bringing another horse in vanished. She took the lead as herd alpha and Aspen fell right in line behind her. We tried to let Aspen take the lead and he refused circling back to flank Willow. I found myself in awe of how simple it was for them to open to each other. Yet as humans we fight against our own instincts of connection with ourselves and others. The beautiful energetic flow of a herd is something I am learning and gaining new perspective on daily as Aspen and Willow grow together. I can't help but wonder how much more simpler life would be if we just trusted our own energetic "herd" connection to those in our circles. How often do we walk around thinking we are the center of the universe, that everything is happening to us, instead of a unique planet in the beauty of it, supported and moving in unison with all the beautiful planets and stars surrounding us, allowing things to happen for us! I hope each of you embrace your unique beauty and open to share that connection of vibrance with those around you.
