is a global day of generosity held each year on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. It’s a day dedicated to doing good — giving back, spreading kindness, and supporting the causes that matter most.

For Pearland Pet Crew, Friends of the City of Pearland Animal Services, it’s a special opportunity to bring comfort, enrichment, and hope to the animals of Pearland Animal Services who depend on us every single day.

The Shari D. Coleman Animal Shelter & Adoption Center will be closed November 27th–28th in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.

Our team will be spending time with loved ones (and giving extra snuggles to the pets in our care!).

🥧🍁 Right in Time for Thanksgiving… SEVEN of our shelter pets found their forever homes! 🍁🥧

Our hearts are so full today! Just before the holiday, seven amazing pets packed up their beds, and headed off to start their new lives with families who already love them.

This time of year reminds us to slow down, appreciate the little things, and celebrate every win—and these seven adoptions are something truly worth celebrating. ❤️

To their new families: thank you for choosing adoption and giving them a place to call home for the holidays.

Here’s to full bellies, warm homes, and happy new beginnings. 🧡

🚨 Holiday Pet Safety Alert 🚨

The holidays are a time for celebration and sharing, but it's important to remember that some of our favorite festive foods can be harmful to our furry friends! 🐾

Here are 4 common holiday foods to keep AWAY from your pets:

1️⃣ Chocolate 🍫 – A no-go for your pets, as it can be toxic, especially dark chocolate.
2️⃣ Grapes & Raisins 🍇 – Even small amounts can cause kidney failure in pets.
3️⃣ Onions or Garlic 🧄 – These can damage red blood cells, leading to anemia.
4️⃣ Fatty Meats & Bones 🍖 – Can cause digestive upset or even pancreatitis in pets.

🎄🐾 Deck the Paws — Join the Fun! 🐾🎄

We invite you to join us on December 6th from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for our Deck the Paws community event!

Come meet the Pearland Pet Crew, learn about our mission and upcoming goals, and enjoy a shelter dog play group in action. You’ll also have the chance to participate in holiday craft activities and take adorable photos with Santa Paws!
