With the 4th of July coming up are you prepared for the stresses this may cause your pet?

4th of July often causes a lot of stress on our pets due to the loud noises. Pets often escape from yards and run away, they can choke on firework debris, pets with health issues can have increased health risks.

It is a good idea to check in with your RDVM to see what you can do to lessen these risks for your pet before the upcoming holiday but also make sure your pet is up to date on vaccines, medications they may need, especially if traveling but make sure they have a safe space to be during all the noise and chaos the holiday often brings.

Please have an emergency plan in place should you need it for the holiday.

That’s right!! We are open 24 hours starting Thursdays at 6pm till Tuesday mornings at 8am!!

We would love to hear how your pets are doing after a visit to our clinic, we check on them during call backs but we would love to share pictures as well! If you will message us a picture we would love to feature them on our Facebook! Also when visiting the clinic each exam room has a QR code you can scan with a release form giving us permission to post pictures of your fur babies!

Boarding your pets?

Do you have an emergency plan in place for your boarding facility or pet sitter?

Make sure they know what to do in case of an emergency for your pet and have a way to contact you should the need arise. If your pet has to be taken to an emergency clinic, the staff will need to speak with you so that medical decisions can be made regarding your pet.

Always make sure you have an emergency plan for your pet whether they are staying home or traveling with you this summer!
