I got a call from a gentleman who wanted to train his dog to be a service dog. I asked him what service the dog would provide for him. He said Well, I could have my doctor write me a note. This is the type of person who hurts those who really need a service dog. The blog below explains how those who cheat the law affect those who really need the service. Needless to say. I declined to help him.

🐾🚫 Say No to Shock Collars for Our Beloved Dogs! 🚫🐾

Hey friends, I want to shed some light on a topic close to my heart – the use of shock collars on dogs. 🐶❌

We must know these devices' adverse effects on our four-legged family members. Shock collars may seem like a quick fix, but the harm they can cause, especially for the untrained, is undeniable.

1. **Physical and Emotional Pain**: Shock collars administer electric shocks, causing physical pain and, in many cases, lasting emotional distress for dogs.

2. **Fear and Anxiety**: Dogs can associate their caregivers or even their surroundings with painful shocks, leading to increased anxiety and fear.

3. **Behavioral Problems**: Instead of addressing the root cause of behavioral issues, shock collars can exacerbate them or even create new problems.

4. **Trust Breakdown**: Using shock collars can damage the trust and bond between you and your dog, hindering effective communication and positive training.

5. **Ineffectiveness**: Shock collars might momentarily suppress behaviors but often fail to provide lasting solutions. Positive reinforcement training, on the other hand, is more effective and fosters a stronger bond.

Let's opt for humane and science-based training methods that nurture a loving and trusting relationship with our family members. 🐕❤️

Please share this post to raise awareness and help end the use of shock collars. Let's give our dogs the love, care, and respect they deserve! 🙏🐾 .
