Our Top Dog Sponsors, The Bow Bar and Veterinary Urgent Care Center, are showing up for the pets who are still waiting.

For Scout, that means continuing to care for him while he waits patiently in foster care. For our September Pet of the Month, Junie, it means giving her every day she needs to find the people who will finally call her theirs.

For homeless pets, time matters. And our sponsors help give it to them.

Sponsors save lives. They help make sure we can continue to be there for the ones still waiting.

Thank you, The Bow Bar and Veterinary Urgent Care Center, for standing behind our mission and the animals counting on us.

Scout and Junie are still waiting. Please share their faces and help us get them home. Show your support for the ones still waiting alongside The Bow Bar and Veterinary Urgent Care Center at Bark on the Beach.

Thank you so much for having us! We had a wonderful morning, and Lacey and Knox loved getting to meet so many new friends!

Both of these sweet pups are still waiting for homes of their own, so we’re especially grateful for every opportunity to let their personalities shine, and introduce them to more people!

We wanted to take a moment to thank our Surf Dog Sponsors for supporting this year’s Bark on the Beach. 🌊🐾

It’s because of sponsors like these that we’re able to continue our mission of rescue. That when the unthinkable happens, and two dogs like Mya and Lady suddenly need somewhere to go, we can say yes.

And because of that support, we are able to give them the time and care they need while we make sure they don’t just find a home, but the home that’s right for them.

We are so happy to share that Mya and Lady will be going home soon.

Thank you to everyone who applied and shared their story. And thank you to our Surf Dog Sponsors for helping make happy endings like this possible.
Sponsors save lives.

We can’t wait to see you all at Bark on the Beach on September 13.

Thank you Surf Dog Sponsors: Propane Plus, Anchor Subaru, Parsons Capital Management, Pet Supplies Plus, South County Veterinary Hospital, Dog Watch Cafe,
Caster Communications, VEG ER for Pets, Parsley & Petal, Land Rover Warwick, Moriarty's Fence Company, Dogtopia of Warwick, Centreville Bank, Frogs Videography, Ohnorman, & Wood River Animal Hospital

We recently discovered, Lacey has a passion for watching videos 😂

8-month-old Lacey got seriously invested in watching her friends in Junie’s September “Pet of the Month” video.

Lacey is still looking for a home of her own — and preferably with someone she can watch TV with.

Why do you walk? 🐾

Lucky King Pops found his forever home, but his story didn't end there.

Him and his mom continue to show up for rescue animals across Rhode Island, using Pops' story to help shine a light on the countless pets still waiting for their own second chance.

Last year, Pops joined us at Bark on the Beach and we loved having them there to walk in support of the animals who still need us.

Every dog deserves someone in their corner.

Our September Pet of the Month is ready to find someone who understands her 🤍

This petite 35 lb. girl appreciates a slow introduction and a little time to decide that she’s safe. Those first little grumbles aren’t the whole story… just Junie’s way of saying, “give me a minute.” She is very easily won over with snacks.

And once that initial hesitation fades? She is all love.

Sweet, goofy, cuddly, and incredibly loyal to the people she trusts. Junie just needs someone willing to give her the time to get there.

Kennel life has been stressful for Junie, and we really want September to be the month she goes home.

If you can’t adopt, please share. Let’s find Junie the safe, loving home she’s been waiting for.

SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT: Foreva Yoga

Sponsors save lives, and we are so grateful to Foreva Yoga for supporting Bark on the Beach and the animals who depend on us.

Foreva Yoga has been part of this event for years, bringing their values of compassion, kindness, connection, and service beyond the mat and into our community.

“For me, supporting animals and giving back to our community is a natural extension of yoga. Yoga is not just what we practice on the mat — it’s also about compassion, kindness, connection, and service.” - Foreva Yoga

Their contribution helps us continue saying "yes" to animals who need somewhere safe to land and a second chance.

Thank you, Foreva Yoga, for continuing to show up for our animals and our mission. We are so grateful the pets in our care have you in their corner. 🤍🐾

Prairie came to us as a 6-month-old puppy. Now, she's about 7 months old, and somehow, this incredibly sweet girl is still waiting. 🤍

A month might not sound like a long time. But when you're a puppy who is still learning about the world, it's a meaningful piece of your life to spend behind shelter walls.

Prairie has so much life left to experience.

She needs to learn what it's like to settle into a home and know that it is hers. To learn the sounds of a neighborhood instead of the sounds of a kennel. To have a family who will help her build her confidence, show her new things, and remind her over and over again that she is safe.

Because once Prairie feels safe with you, the love she has to give is endless.

She is SO cuddly. She'll roll right over for affection, soak up every pet you're willing to give her, and happily curl up with the people she trusts. She may need a little time to feel comfortable, but once she does, you get to see just how loving this puppy really is.

Prairie has so much to offer the family lucky enough to have her. She just needs someone willing to give her the patience and love she needs to blossom.

We don't know how she's still waiting.

What we do know is that we don't want to see another month of Prairie's puppyhood pass by behind her kennel walls.

If you can't adopt, please share Prairie. We want this post to reach the people who will make her feel safe, show her how good life outside the shelter can be, and love her as much as we know she will love them right back. 🤍
