✨ POLLY NEEDS A HOME ✨
(And/or a FOSTER!!!!)

Oh Polly 💔 I’m so sorry we haven’t found your people yet. I know you’re being patient, but being in foster for almost 9 months isn’t fair. And I’m sorry.

Yes, of course Polly is in a much place now that she’s no longer in the shelter or on the euthanasia list. However, this girl deserves a real home, a real family, and a true forever to call her own.

Polly was part of the crew that I rescued from a shelter down south back in February. She was found tied to a porch during a snowstorm and was thankfully brought into the shelter to find a second chance. I feel blessed to say that we were able to bring her that second chance by pulling her out of the shelter and bringing her to SWB, but now she needs an adopter and/or a FOSTER. Please keep reading to see if that could be you.

Polly is a 2-3 year old Bulldog mix who has made unbelievable strides since being with us. She loves with her whole body (see wiggles), enjoys hikes and outdoor adventures, and has more affection to give than most other dogs I’ve come across. Her biggest hurdle is trusting men, but if one is patient enough to build a relationship with her, she is yours forever.

Polly would do best as either a single pet or with a well matched, middle of the pack, happy-go-lucky playmate! She currently lives with a pack of dogs and has done great meeting new guest dogs. Once in awhile she does need some guidance on how to move away if the other dog doesn’t want to engage with her, but more often than not has been making great choices for herself.

Although with a lot of structure and management she has learned to live with cats, we are most comfortable with no cats in her future home. Because she can have some hesitancy with strangers, we are looking for a more quiet home that doesn’t have a lot of “foot traffic.”

Sweet man Chili has been with us since June and we are heartbroken for him. We thought he finally had an adopter but unfortunately they dropped out on him the day before he was supposed to go to what we thought was going to be his forever home 😞 Please read about Chili below and share this post so we can finally find his forever!!! This dog SHOULD NOT be in foster for this long!

✅ About 45 pounds
✅ Great with all humans
✅ Fostered with children and does awesome with them
✅ Crate and house trained
✅ Great on leash
✅ Medium to high energy
✅ Nice work drive (would be an awesome sport dog)
✅ Super affectionate
✅ Playful!! Tug and fetch are super cool
✅ Dog selective so either an only pet household or one with a well matched female
✅ Prey driven so no cat siblings
✅ Extremely handsome and DYING for a family of his own

✨ Up For Adoption ✨
*MEDICALLY CLEARED AND READY TO FIND HIS FOREVERR😍*

Travis didn’t get the best diagnosis when he first got to us — Doctors believed he needed surgery to fix some physeal abnormalities such as carpal valgus deformity. However, instead of jumping into surgery, we let nature take its course and after about a month of watching him grow, he went in for a second set of x-rays that showed….no indication of elbow incongruence, physeal disease or gross evidence of elbow dysplasia. Previous valgus deformity may have been a result of ligamentous laxity that has since resolved, and our boy is HEALTHY AND READY to find his peeps!!

Trav is about 5 months old, walks great on leash, is perfectly crate trained, does great with other dogs, loves people, is super confident, loves to learn, is incredibly playful, and has no problem cuddling up to you and making you feel like the most special person in the world. He has an incredible foundation thanks to his amazing foster parents and he can’t wait to show his forever family how well trained he is at such a young age!

💔💔💔 CHILI IS STILL IN NEED OF A HOME 💔💔💔

Chili came up with the group who have all been adopted….except for him 😞 How could this be? One year old Chili has been being fostered by a TRAINER since the beginning of summer and has been nothing short of an amazing, respectful houseguest. He has learned rules, boundaries, the safety of a crate, how to walk on leash, proper play with other dogs, how to chill during social outings, among a list of other things. He is fantastic in the car and is ready to be your best friend.

Chili’s IDEAL home includes an active owner that will fulfill his exercise needs daily on long walks, runs, swimming, hiking, or even dog sports! He does great with structure so continued rules and boundaries are important for him. He’s a cattle dog mix so he does have good, fun energy….and is really down for anything! He loves to play and is always down for a good game of ball.

Chili would do best as either a solo pet OR with a female resident dog that has a calmer, happy go lucky, submissive demeanor. Although he has met canine friends along his journey, he can be selective with certain dogs. Friendly females seem to be his healthy match! No cats please.

Although he is thriving in his foster home with children and other dogs, we would really love to find Chili his forever home in the near future. Please share Chili and send him to all your friends who may be looking for an awesome, young, active, fun, sporty, loving boy!
