Friends of Peabody Dog Park

Friends of Peabody Dog Park A committee of Peabody residents who raised money to help the city build the Peabody Dog Park in 2018.

The committee has since dissolved, but this page remains active for the community of dog park users to connect and share photos. Remember trash and animal waste left in parks can be dangerous for dogs and their owners, making it hard to have fun with your pets! Please help your fellow dog owners who enjoy the park keep this public space clean and fun for everyone. Complaints/Issues:

Saturday 10/23 we are hosting a FREE Microchip Event in Topsfield!!

"Why does my pet need a microchip??"

Good Question!

If your pet ever gets lost and finds its way to a shelter, vet, or rescue.. the first thing that they do is scan their body for a microchip! Each chip has a unique ID number, and each ID number is attached to the owner's contact information! This allows for a super-quick return-to-owner situation!

Hi all! We've received some questions about why the water has not been turned on yet at the dog park. State COVID-19 guidelines prevent the city from doing so at this time. As soon as it's permitted, the water will be turned back on. Until then, park visitors will need to supply their own water. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

As a result the Wednesday, March 24th Dog Park meeting has been cancelled. We will notify you once FPDP Meeting is rescheduled. We hope you stay safe and continue to adhere to good hygiene practices. Look forward to seeing you at the next meeting and at the Peabody Dog Park.

We've heard from a member of the community that the gate at the dog park is broken. The Parks Dept has been alerted about this safety issue. In the meantime, please keep an eye on your dog and use extra caution while using the park. Thank you!

Hey folks! Just a reminder that taking your dog to a dog park exposes your dog to the same risks he/she would face at doggie daycare. If you are a regular dog park visitor, you may want to consider vaccinating your pooch against kennel cough and dog flu. These are both yearly immunizations. While they don't completely protect your dog against getting the viruses, vaccines can mitigate the symptoms and severity. Your vet can give you more info.
