AVAILABLE:
At six months old, Sunny is old enough to free range on the ranch with the older female Weims—which means she wears a BRIGHT orange collar and a Tractive tracker.

Sunny is a standout from the 2025 Aspen/Marshall litter. Both of her parents are proven hunting dogs and excellent companions to their families.

While Sunny has the drive, intelligence, and instinct to be a working dog, she doesn't quite have the right personality to move on to hunt tests or competitions. To quote our trainer, "she's a little bit stubborn, and a busy-body around other dogs." Sunny always wants to be in the middle of things, rather than staying focused.

Her personality is, in short, "sunny"!

Alex, of Mesa Point Kennels, says that with maturity Sunny would make an excellent leisure hunting dog.

With Alex's training, Sunny has conquered basic obedience training including an off-leash heel, and she is ready to make a companion dog for an active person or family.

Sunny is beautiful, and will turn heads wherever she goes, but will need lots of mental stimulation and physical activity.

To inquire about Sunny, please call or text Kathryn at 918-213-9486, or message Hunt and Home through FB.

We kept "Sunny" back, who we considered to be the pick of the Aspen/Marshall 2025 litter.

While she has the drive, intelligence, and instinct to be a working dog, she doesn't quite have the right personality to move on to hunt tests or competitions.

Why is she being offered to another home now? We prefer that our females in our breeding program here at Hunt and Home have learned a "job" in the hunting world before breeding, so that we can fully evaluate the temperament and natural working ability that they are passing on to their pups.

With Alex's training, Sunny has conquered basic obedience training (see videos), including an off-leash heel, and she is ready to make a companion dog for an active person or family. I believe she has the agility and athleticism to make an incredible agility dog--or some other exciting and engaging activity.

Sunny is beautiful, and will turn heads at the park, but will need lots of mental stimulation and physical activity.

To inquire about Sunny, please call or text Kathryn at 918-213-9486, or message Hunt and Home through FB.

Aspen, looking regal and intense, stands with this year’s pup, “Jetty,” and last year’s pup, Marley. A devoted and excellent mama, she watches over her puppies with a quiet, reserved grace.

It’s a downpour this morning, and pups are staying inside the building for a bit.

Sunny (the yellow collar female pup) might get a FEW special privileges, like laying with her mama on her mama’s elevated bed. But—only if she’s good. Aspen is quick to disciple an unruly pup that jumps or bites.

Aspen and Marshall have once again given us a solid set of puppies!

These pups are beautiful and incredibly intelligent. Their natural work and hunt drive, inherited from their working parents, is readily apparent.

And, as always, we have ensured they have the best head start we can give them: great nutrition, a regular deworming schedule, and lots of outdoor exercise.

They will be ready for their new homes after July 4th.

I’m asked almost every day now, “So what are you doing now that you’re empty nesters?” After YEARS of homeschooling and 4-H activities, life is…quiet.

So what am I doing now? LOTS of this:
