It was a great weekend at the 51st annual MHA contest! This year I did not compete in the forging or shoeing classes but it was an exceptional learning year for me as I had the opportunity to scribe for an exceptional judge with an eye for meticulous details in the live shoeing, which was some of the best work I have ever seen, as well as being on the winning draft team with two of the best in the business that were able to show me how to really get it done!

It was a great weekend! Great job to all of the candidates that were testing, and for me it was very beneficial to be on the scoring end of things and get to look at and evaluate so much different work! No doubt we all left better, more experienced farriers!
