Today was the first time that I have baked since surgery. I'm feeling pretty rough but all the bread was baked and delivered. I know that the loaf I made for myself tastes amazing.

Thank you to everyone that ordered for today. My kids said "Da how much bread did people order? That's a lot. I hope you made us a loaf or two."

I am not perfect. Sunday was a miserable bake day that had me at the point of questioning myself and this path. It took a lot to fight through and bake today but people have orders and are expecting their bread for Thursday. Besides the mental toll from Sunday, my knee is throbbing from doing too much. I can't wait till I can have my surgery.

Today definitely brought back a little magic as the yeasted Garlic Rosemary came out of the oven. If it tastes half as good as it tastes, it will taste like heaven.

✨ This week’s Farm Fellow Student highlight is, Christopher White!

White is a resident of Hampshire County who has been around agriculture most of his life and is now involved in farming with his family. He shares, “owning and managing a farm has been my life’s dream and a goal since I was a child.” He’s hoping to learn about “business management specifically for agriculture proper care of the land to allow us to not only operate a successful farm now, but for generations to come.”

For those that have been around for a while, you know Missy Cora. We adopted her in January from a humane society and the night she came home, she collapsed from Parvo.

Well today is her 1st Birthday. She's been through a lot in 1 year of life but she is a part of our family and my best friend. I can't imagine life without her, even when she kicks me off the bed at night or steals wood from the woodpile.

I just wanted to wish her a Happy Birthday on here. Even if she is outside being a knucklehead and barking at the cows in the field. Yesterday she tried to befriend them and started eating grass in the yard while watching the cows eat grass on the other side of the fence.

Thank you to everyone that ordered bread this week.

For those that didn't order, fresh bread gets baked and delivered on Sundays in the Paw Paw area. Eventually, we may add a second bake day and we are constantly adding more items to the menu. Base pricing is $7 for dinner bread and $10 for sourdough. If you get a loaf that has items added to it, (garlic, pepper powder, rosemary, etc) there is an additional $2 charge.

We are still accepting orders for Thanksgiving. All Thanksgiving orders will be baked on Wednesday the 27th for delivery on Thanksgiving. $7 for dinner bread and $9 for garlic rosemary. Unfortunately, we will not have sourdough for the holiday.

Weekly Special this week is a request from a customer... Reaper Bread.

We are starting to work out a price list for the bread products. We honestly didn't think that this would take off like it has. If we had known, then we would have started doing this a long time ago.
