This tiny girl is Ivy, and she needs a foster home to help her recover from a severe upper respiratory infection.

Despite feeling under the weather, Ivy is still fighting. She’s eating, vocal, and determined to get better—but she needs a quiet place to continue healing.

🚨 THIS IS HUGE. 🚨

This is a win for homeless pets!

PAWS has been awarded a $4,000 Petfinder Foundation No-Fee/Low-Fee, All Love Grant! 🎉🐾Petfinder Foundation

Over the next three months, this funding will help us offer FREE adoptions for approximately 62 cats and dogs, removing a major barrier between shelter pets and the loving homes they deserve.

And the impact reaches far beyond our town.

Our adopters come from across Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Colorado, and beyond. In the past year we’ve had adoptions literally coast to coast across the United States! Every year, animals from our small municipal shelter find homes hundreds of miles away—and some even travel across the country for a second chance.

This grant means:

🚨 CUBA IS READY FOR ADOPTION! 🚨

There were moments when we weren’t sure this day would come.

When Cuba arrived in our care, she needed more than a home—she needed a chance. Through surgery, recovery, countless medical treatments, and a whole lot of love, this little fighter never gave up. And because of the support of our community, neither did we.

Today, we’re thrilled to announce that Cuba has officially been cleared for adoption and is ready to find her forever family! ❤️

Just look at her now. Healthy. Happy. Comfortable. Safe. Everything we hoped for when her journey began.

🐀🎉 IT’S A RAT BABY SHOWER! 🎉🐀

When Biscuit arrived, we thought we had rescued one very sweet fancy rat.

Biscuit had other plans.

Less than 48 hours later, she surprised everyone by giving birth to 10 healthy baby rats! ❤️

Mom and babies are doing wonderfully, and we’re happy to report that all 10 little jellybeans are active, wiggly, and being cared for by their very devoted mama.

These faces shouldn’t have to wonder where their next meal is coming from.

Every puppy, every kitten, every senior dog, every scared stray that walks through our doors depends on us for food, comfort, and care. Right now, our pantry shelves are looking far too empty for our liking.

The truth is simple: hungry animals can’t wait for next payday.

The kittens don’t know donations are slow. The dogs don’t understand budgets. They just know they’re hungry, and they trust us to take care of them.

What many people don’t realize is that every bag of food, every can, every scoop of litter, and every bottle of cleaning supplies donated does far more than fill a bowl.

The City of Pauls Valley allocates less than $1.00 per animal for veterinary care. Every dollar we don’t have to spend on food, litter, treats, and daily consumables is a dollar we can redirect into lifesaving medical care.

That means more animals receiving emergency surgeries.

More animals getting treatment for injuries and illness.

More puppies surviving parvo.

More kittens making it through panleukopenia.

More senior pets getting the care they deserve.

Every donated bag of food helps keep an animal fed today. It may also help save another animal’s life tomorrow.

We’re not sure who gave her a modeling contract, but she’s clearly preparing for a career in high fashion.

Biscuit arrived as a stray, but judging by these photos, we suspect she may have actually wandered away from a professional rat modeling agency.

She’s incredibly friendly, curious, and seems to think every human exists solely to admire her. Honestly, she might be right.

If you’ve been thinking about adding a pocket-sized supermodel to your family, Biscuit is accepting applications. Please note she expects snacks, compliments, and a reasonable number of photoshoots per week.
