Off leash recall in class yesterday and everyone was on point. Love seeing all of these awesome dogs and their humans that have put in the time to achieve stuff like this.

Every first Saturday of the month 9:00 am
Prescott Courthouse Square and we meet near the fountain.

Items to bring if you can:

Water
Long line
Rug or matt for place

Class run time 1.5 hours approx.
Always gathering for brunch at a dog friendly patio after.

Have a dog, want to learn a couple new things? Want to be challenged with mega environmental distractions?
Come join.

Please note, no nose to nose interactions and all dogs are to stay a minimum of five feet apart.

We’re getting closer. Overall, the place command is a fantastic way to help your dog practice good, calm behavior in LOTS of different moments. It gives them a clear job to focus on with clear boundaries, it prevents your dog from practicing bad/unwanted behaviors, and it helps develop a pattern of calmer behavior and impulse control.

The plwcr command is great for dogs of all ages. Instead of telling your dog what not to do, give them something to do.

This is work. For Poppy, we’re still doing a ton of repetition. Working towards, duration, distance then distractions.

Group Class this Saturday 9:00 am Prescott Courthouse Plaza. Meeting near the fountain.

Reminder!! For my new clients, there is NO nose to nose meetings with dogs.

Always keep 6 feet away from a dog, unless we are doing an exercise that I call for different space/ distance.

Not all dogs like dogs in their face. You must give space. This is for your dogs safety and for others. Please do not allow other strange dogs to come up to your dog.

The grounds can at times have random dogs and handlers that don’t understand space.Meaning, watch out for the other Drivers.

Bring a long line if you have one, bring a place mat for place if you have one.

Bring your dog on their secure training lead or prong collar, whichever you use for best control and on remote collar if you like too. Come ready to have fun too!

Class is every 1st Saturday of each month same location at 9:00 am.
Unless otherwise noted.

He’s not quite ready for the motor to turn on though.

For any healthy relationship, clear communication is key. Finding out how to best communicate with your dog is part of training the dog. I basically help you bridge that gap.

In this session, I’m applying remote collar as a “hello” here, with me, getting her attention. We’re still in the conditioning phase.

Just doing a little experiment with the neighbors dogs. I wanted to see if I got any reaction of any kind and what kind.

When we originally did the evaluation. It was interesting because there was no reactivity. Ragnar did set off when the dog I had set off, but until that point he did well, so much so that his humans were surprised.
