LOOKING FOR GUARDIAN HOMES
Well…as most of you know my health has not been the greatest and it’s slowly been deteriorating. I won the s**t health lottery *not the lottery I wanted*. With recently losing my vision and being bed bound at times I have decided to take an indefinite break from breeding corgis in my home. That said I am looking for homes. Here’s a little about what I’m looking for:
You would get a puppy or adult dog for a fraction of the normal price. The dog would live its life with you, be raised by you etc. Your typical duties owning a dog. The only difference is I retain the rights to breed such dog. If you don’t follow through with the breeding then you’ll be required to purchase the dog outright for the original purchase price. All basic veterinary care will be your responsibility and I will be responsible for any costs related to breeding. It’s a little different when it comes to male vs female so I will explain both.
When you guardian home a female at some point she will start her heat cycle. At that point it is your responsibility to keep her away from all intact males. I must be notified the day her bleeding starts. She will be bred, and stay with you until about day 55 of pregnancy and then she will come stay with me to whelp out her puppies *unless you’re experienced enough and I trust you enough to do it yourself*. Once her puppies are weaned she will return back to you. My females are bred 2-3 times maximum. After that they will be spayed and completely signed over to you as their designated owner. There’s times I’ve bred females and they’ve hated being moms and they’ve only been bred once. They make their decision. Their body, their choice 😂 Female will be bred to the stud of my choice. You might be asked to take her to vet appointments to which you will be compensated for.
As far as guarding home a male. Pretty much everything above applies here as well. The dog will live with you and you’ll be responsible for all basic care including veterinary care just as if it was your own dog. At times he may be studded out or I may need to bring him to my house/ship semen in which we will plan that when the time comes. You may be asked to take him to the vet in which you will be compensated for. Once he is retired he will be neutered and signed over to you as sole owner.
I’d *prefer* that you are within 3 hours of Long Island or 2 hours from Battle Creek MI but if I’m familiar with you and there’s references then i will consider it. If you’re interested in getting a dog at a fraction of the price please let me know. Unfortunately you do not get to choose what dog you receive as I choose what’s best for my future breedings. But I promise you will love them either way.
