Our hearts are broken as we lost our dear friend Lauren, who passed away after a courageous 28-month battle with pancreatic cancer.

Lauren was such a big part of Brick City Rescue and one of the most selfless people we have ever known. Generous, loyal, funny, loving, and always there when someone needed her. She had a heart of gold and a way of making a difference that went far beyond words.

The rescue world has lost an incredible light.

We are forever grateful that our paths crossed and that we had the privilege of having Lauren in our lives. She was a beautiful friend and together we saved countless dogs, changed lives, and shared a bond that will stay with us forever.

We know you are watching over Enzo and all your pups. We know they will carry a piece of your heart with them, just as we will.

Heaven is lucky to have you, Lauren. Thank you for everything you gave, every life you helped save, and every bit of love you left behind.

We will forever miss you. Rest peacefully. Until we meet again. ❤️

As many of you know, the concerning events involving Gone Rogue Girls Rescue have left our rescue community heartbroken. We are utterly shattered by the realization that those entrusted with protecting animals could be capable of such actions.

Rescue must always be about the animals—not egos, recognition, or personal agendas. Sadly, we see too much of this in rescue, and it is the animals who ultimately pay the price.

BCR will continue to stand for accountability, transparency, and responsible rescue. We will align ourselves with those who share these values and who understand that saving lives comes with an enormous responsibility.
