We hear daily " I could never foster! I wouldn't be able to let them go!" Well sometimes you dont let them go! Sometimes you "fail" and you keep them forever! You will know who is right for your house and who would do be better with someone else. Its doesn't mean we love them less, we just know that sometimes our home, pack or life is not what's best in the end!
foster failed Don Vito and EV because sometimes the dogs you’re meant to save end up saving you right back. Don Vito came to me after being surrendered to the rescue, just shortly after I lost my own dog, Vinnie. He was only supposed to stay for the weekend, but I quickly realized that what he really needed was patience, structure, and someone who believed in him—and I knew I could give him that. Then came EV, a special needs pup who had been abandoned in a dumpster in Brooklyn. The moment she entered my home, she and Don Vito formed an unbreakable bond, and I couldn’t imagine separating them. Together, they’ve not only found their forever home, but they’ve also found love, guidance, and joy with their big sister Chloe, who they adore and look up to every day.
has foster failed many times! Maple and Lydia are the newest pack members. has always wanted a big dog and when Lydia was brought home unexpectedly, he fell very much in love and knew that she was the perfect big dog for his family. Maple and Lydia have been bonded since the day they met and the idea of separating them was just to hard to think about!
Please reach out about fostering! If you think letting them go to a new home is hard, knowing they will never get a home because no one said they would foster is harder!
