What a week for Laurie Laspina and Tilburg at The Santa Barbara National Horse Show! This pair was unstoppable sweeping up two division champions and winning the Pre-Child Adult Hunter Classic as well as numerous classes in the division! This is their second show together and we are thrilled with the partnership they’ve created.

Matcho and Dewey both received top placings in the $5000 National Derby at The Santa Barbara National Horse Show and had fun doing it! So lucky to ride horses that love their jobs and rise up to the occasion. Thank you for the ride on Matcho.

Earlier in the week Matcho won the USHJA 3’0” hunters and under saddle.
Dewey was Champion in the 3’0/3’3” Green hunters also winning the hack.

Meet SS Imagination, known around the barn as “Steely.” This talented gelding has been successfully developed by an amateur rider in a professional program over the past few years, competing up to the 1.00m amateur jumpers with consistent results.

Steely has plenty of untapped scope and ability but is equally comfortable and willing at the lower heights. Although he has limited experience in equitation classes, his natural big stride and rhythm make him a promising equitation mount with some additional training.

Sol Star Du Hasard Z aka ‘Dewey’ had a successful show in the 3’0”/3’3” Green Hunters with a win and top ribbons. He made his equitation debut with Rachel Nye winning the Low/Child 2’6” equitation and 2nd place in the CPHA horsemanship Medal.

Kailey Ryan and Inclusive RW had a fantastic show competing in their second rated show with a successful first time competing on the grass and in the 2’3” pre-child division placing in all her classes! This was their second show together and we are thrilled with how much progress they have made together as a team! Excited for what’s to come for these two!
