Things are coming along nicely! 🐸🌿

We're currently putting the finishing touches on this bioactive enclosure as we get it ready for a group of tree frogs. There are still a few more plants and decorations to add, but we're excited with how it's turning out so far!

We're also working on several other bioactive terrariums throughout the pet department. These habitats are currently home to our Giant Day Geckos, but once they find their forever homes, who knows what exciting animals might move in next! 🦎🌿

Creating naturalistic habitats not only looks great, but also helps provide a healthier and more enriching environment for the animals that call them home.

We're also interested in connecting with local reptile and amphibian breeders. If you're a breeder in the area and would be interested in working with us, send us a message or stop by the store. We'd love to meet fellow reptile and amphibian enthusiasts and explore opportunities to work together.

The bioactive terrariums here at The Pet Department are coming along slowly but surely! 🌿🦎

We’re still adding more live plants and making improvements to each enclosure to help create natural, healthy environments for the animals. Every setup is a little different, and we’re taking our time to make them look great and function even better.

We’re also currently working on installing an automatic misting system for all of the bioactive terrariums to help maintain proper humidity and keep everything thriving! 💧🌱

It’s a work in progress, but we’re excited to keep upgrading the reptile section little by little. Stop by and check out the progress at:

Stop by The Pet Department in Paso Robles and say hello to Noodle, our close-to-4-foot-long California Kingsnake! He’s quickly become a favorite around the store with his beautiful pattern and calm personality.

Noodle will soon be going up for adoption/rehoming to the right person and home. We want to make sure he goes to someone experienced and prepared to give him the care and space he deserves.

✅ Thursday, Friday, and Saturday appointments are currently the easiest to book and are pretty much guaranteed availability right now!

📅 We may also have openings on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday depending on the schedule, and Sundays may become available if enough people are interested.

🦎 Big things are happening in the reptile department at The Pet Department!

We are currently setting up a brand-new habitat for a beautiful Jackson’s chameleon — one of the unique reptiles that will be arriving soon as part of our expanding reptile section! 🌿✨

Jackson’s chameleons are known for their incredible colors, slow movements, and those awesome little “horns” that make them look like tiny dinosaurs. We’re building a lush, planted enclosure to give them the perfect environment to thrive. 🌱

Please keep in mind the enclosure is still a work in progress! We are still adding more live plants, climbing branches, and finishing touches to create the perfect setup. 🪴🌿

We will also be bringing in some adorable fat-tailed geckos soon as we continue expanding our reptile selection! 🦎
