Life out here reminds us daily to appreciate the simple things… Good company, loyal animals, hard work, and those wide-open moments that make ranch life so special.
As we welcome 2026, we want to say thank you for being part of our journey and our ranch family. Even though the New Year’s rain left us wet, muddy, and canceling our first sorting of the year, we’re grateful for the blessing of rain and everything it promises for the season ahead. 🌧️🤠

And what better way to ride into the Year of the Horse than surrounded by the animals we love and the incredible community that supports us?

We’ll be back in the sorting pen soon, ready to share laughs, good runs, and plenty of unforgettable moments together.
Here’s to a year full of joy, connection, adventure, and lots of time in the arena.

Merry Christmas from Lost Peacock Ranch! 🎄🤠

As we wrap up another year, we just want to say thank you for all the love, laughs, and fun memories we’ve shared along the way. It’s been such a joy being part of this crazy, wonderful life and getting to share a little piece of the ranch with all of you.

We hope your Christmas is spent doing whatever makes you happy, with the people (and animals 😉) you love most. Wishing you peace, joy, and a whole lot of smiles today and always.

ATTENTION!!! We are so exited that our spring like weather is supposed hold for the weekend!! Come to Tehachapi and get out of the fog! We will have a fun weekend of sorting!! Never sorted and want to try? Sign up for a practice spot on Sunday morning. Low key and no pressure introduction to sorting or a great opportunity to school a green horse!
A drawpot for fun and a chance at prize money following the practice!
Prize awards to any Saturday class with more that 35 teams!
Don't forget the ugly sweater contest each day for the holiday spirit and a prize to the winners.

Don’t miss our final event of 2025!

We’re wrapping up the year with big Series Awards and a fun day of sorting. The weather looks great and everyone is eligible for awards — you do not need to have ridden at prior shows to win the browband headstalls or Corral Caddies!

🏆 SERIES AWARDS (based on the last 3 sortings):
We’re giving away SIX electric scooters — two per class — to the riders with the highest cattle sorted over the last three shows!

🎁 DAY-OF AWARDS (all three classes):
• If a class has 35+ teams, the average winners will receive nice browband headstalls.
• Corral Caddies (donated by Becky Moe) will be awarded to the High Point rider of the class for that day alone — no entry minimum required!

Lost Peacock Ranch is hosting our first Team Sorting in Tehachapi at BVS Equestrian Center, Dec 20–21! 🐮🐴

We’re excited to branch out and would love your support — please share this post to help spread the word!
