Next up in the bark ranger series: Maeve!

Funny how life works sometimes! Maeve’s mom, Lindsey, and I first met during a hair appointment and instantly bonded over our mutual love of dogs.
A little while later, I came across an adorable cocker mix up for adoption through . I completely fell for her sweet face and seriously considered adopting her myself. Not long after, I found out Lindsey had adopted her—and I couldn’t have been happier! Maeve had found a loving home, and the best part? I still get to watch her grow up.
Now, our dogs are best friends, and Maeve comes along on all our adventures. It’s been such a joy seeing her come out of her shell—making new pup pals (and herding them), learning to swim, and fully embracing her inner bird dog. She’s on a mission to flush every bird she can find! I just know Maeve would have an incredible time in the Smokies! As a true water lover, she’d be swimming nonstop and absolutely thrilled by all the wildlife. With endless trails to explore, it’d be a nonstop adventure for her—starting after 9am, of course!

Say hello to our next Bark Ranger, Bailey!

Puppy Bailey joined the crew back in 2018 when he was just the size of a polar bear cub. Since then, I’ve seen his passion for stick collecting, carrying tennis balls trying to convince you to play fetch, his love for the beach, and – most importantly – his dedication to mealtimes (which must be on time!).
If he ever got to visit Acadia, there are plenty of easy trails he’d love to explore and sniff his way through. He might try to illegally collect driftwood, but we’d make him leave it on the beach šŸ˜‚

Next up in the Bark Ranger series: Josie!

Josie is one of my own pups, but she originally came into my life as a client. I’ve known her since she was just a little puppy—a bouncy, chocolate ball of energy. After her dad, Don, passed away suddenly, I took over her care. It was a heartbreaking loss, but I’m so grateful she stayed in my life.

Bursting with personality, Josie greets everyone like an old friend—even if it’s their first hello. She’s my loyal shadow—never far from my side and rarely needing a leash. Parks are her paradise, especially if there’s a tennis ball to chase or a mud puddle to belly flop into.

I adore my Jo Bear and all her silly, lovable quirks. šŸ¤Ž

Next up in the Bark Ranger Series is Tex!

Tex is a part-time dog who joins the crew whenever he’s in town, and every time he returns, it’s like he never left! He picks up where he left off with all the dogs and everyone is his best friend!
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this guy for almost six years, and let me tell you, he’s all heart. When I’m driving, he’ll rest his head on my shoulder or the center console, just staring at me with those big eyes.
This guy lives for the water and fetch. If he could go to Dry Tortugas, he’d probably accidentally fetch a sea turtle—thinking it’s just another toy. šŸ˜‚

Meet our next Bark Ranger—Lemmy!
Funnily enough, Lemmy’s mom and I met through a Munsterlander Facebook group over 3 years ago and immediately bonded over our shared love of the breed—and the fact that we both live in LA! Ever since then, we’ve been hiking and taking the dogs on all kinds of adventures.
I didn’t get to meet Lemmy when he was a tiny pup, but I did meet him when he was still young, and it’s been so fun watching his love for the outdoors blossom. He’s become quite the tracker with that amazing nose of his—you can really see the breed’s genetics at work! I just know that if he ever got to visit the Grand Tetons, he’d be in sniffing heaven, following every scent trail he could find! šŸ”ļø

Meet our next Bark Ranger- Remi!

Many of you know that she’s one of my three dogs šŸ¤Ž Her whole life she’s been a climber—probably the reason she ended up in the shelter to begin with and where I fell in love with her 13 years ago! If you’ve ever hiked with her, she’s likely stressed you out by walking right along the edge of cliffs or climbing trees. She always has to find the highest point and be above everyone else. I just know she’d love walking along the edge of the Grand Canyon, looking out at the views—and stressing out the crowds while she’s at it!

Can you spot her in the third picture standing on the ledge looking over the canyon?
Also, this song is a throwback from the movie ā€œFools Rush Inā€ which had scenes at the Grand Canyon.

Next up in the Bark Ranger series: Zoey!
I’ve known Miss Zoey since she was just 8 weeks old, and there’s no doubt in my mind—this girl would thrive in Yosemite! She wants to greet every human with a full-on hug, and in a busy park like Yosemite, that means a lot of hugs to give.
Zoey’s also a natural poser—she’ll hop up on any boulder for the perfect photo op. Honestly, she’d be the ranger you’d ask where to find the best views... and she’d probably lead you there herself! šŸžļø

Next up is Miss Greer in the Bark Ranger series! If she could rate her favorite body of water, a river would be at the top! She would follow one to the ends of the earth to see where it goes. I knew immediately that if she could ever see The Narrows in Zion with her own two eyes she would die and go to heaven! Crowds of people and a river? What more does this golden girl need!?
