Ted Knecht and I rescued an very old, blind Chihuahua today on our way back from dropping off art. It was crossing Washington Blvd. near Lake, dodging traffic, and so hunchbacked it didn’t look like a dog. But Ted stopped the car, I jumped out, and picked him up. Poor thing was so frightened, but happy to be held. Then a guy pulled over behind us, and said he knew where “Peanut” lived, so he took him home. Hope it’s owners are more careful with him!

Just shipped "Buckley" to Florida. It's a 16 x 20 oil on panel. The original photo was very blurry and dark, with no detail, so I used other photos for reference. And made the back foot and leg larger to compensate for the foreshortening. Plus framed it for them. The client is so happy, because this was her favorite shot of him, but wasn't sure it could be done! I like it because it's a classic triangular composition, and he looks happy.
