Meet Cholula, the loving mom of sriracha and Tabasco! After her original owner passed away, Cholula found herself in the care of a friend who had an intact male dog. Unbeknownst to them, Cholula was also intact, leading to an unexpected litter of puppies. Overwhelmed by the situation, her caretaker reached out for help, and Cholula and her pups were welcomed into our rescue.

From the moment she arrived, Cholula’s sweet nature shone through. She adores mealtime and is calm and quiet in her crate. Cholula enjoys playing nicely with other dogs and has a gentle disposition towards children, having lived with them before. Despite being bounced around three times in her young life, she remains hopeful for a loving forever home.

Spring has sprung and Copper still needs a family to play with in this wonderful weather!

Our 2 year old American-Staffordshire-Terrier-Mix boy has been a staple at our rescue space for about 2 months now. He’s become the Tennis-Ball master 🎾, he loves yummy treats, and his favorite color is orange 🧡. He’s so sweet and we love him to pieces, but it’s time for him to find a really great forever home!

During his time with us his leash skills have gone from great to awesome and he recently joined us at the Venice Love Fest and was such an amazing mascot for our big dogs. He was very polite and friendly! He’s also become a very important motivator in our weekly Run Club on Fridays and has learned the joys of yummy pup cups. If you want a dog who will love an adventurous outing, Copper is the guy for you!

☀️ Weekly Pupdate! ☀️

Warmer weather means more fun in the sun, and our pups have been making the most of every moment! This week was packed with excitement, playtime, and plenty of puppy snuggles.

The Bluey pups had the best surprise—a brand-new slide! These playful little ones couldn’t wait to climb up, zoom down, and tumble around in pure puppy joy. It’s quickly become their new favorite hangout spot!

Our weekly run/walk club kept the energy going as our pups and volunteers hit the trail for some fresh air and exercise. Watching their tails wag as they trotted alongside their running buddies was the perfect way to enjoy the sunshine.

Saturday brought an unforgettable day at Venice Fest, where we connected with fellow animal lovers, introduced some of our amazing adoptable pups, and helped spread the word about rescue. It was a fantastic event, and after all that excitement, our pups fully embraced a lazy Sunday—soaking up sunshine, curling up for naps, and enjoying lots of belly rubs.

We also hosted another puppy yoga session, where our adorable pups made sure every pose came with a side of wiggly kisses and cuddles. Nothing beats the joy of a puppy flopping into your lap during meditation!

And to top it all off, we celebrated Tabasco’s adoption day! This sweet pup has found his forever home, and we couldn’t be happier for him!

Raise a toast to the one and only Saki! This adorable 2-year-old French Bulldog is the ultimate socialite — pairing well with dogs, kids, and everyone she meets. With her snorty charm and love for lounging, Saki is the perfect couch companion who also enjoys a good game of fetch.

She stole the show at the Venice Fest this weekend, being our welcome booth mascot! Though, she isn’t a huge fan of cats, Saki has spent quality time with an active toddler and an infant, proving she’s a gentle and adaptable friend.

Saki’s journey didn’t start out easy, though. She was surrendered by an unhoused person who could no longer care for her. When she arrived, we discovered yarn (yes, actual yarn) poking out of her belly, remnants of a makeshift suture from what we suspect was an emergency c-section over six months ago. We ensured she got the care she needed she has been spayed and cleared of her infection that the yarn caused.

That’s a wrap on this year’s Venice Fest! 🎉
We got to meet so many amazing people, share the stories of our dogs, our rescue, and our mission. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, and especially to those who donated! The funds we raised today will go directly to our dogs, with the first step being a much-needed femoral head and neck ostectomy surgery for our sweet dog Pixie. Nate is our handsome, scruffy superstar with a collection of nicknames—Nate the Great, Our Mate Nate, and the endearing Grass King, thanks to his love for rolling in the grass during Friday Run Club!

The ultimate greeter, Nate welcomes you home with a wagging tail and major long-time-no-see energy, even if you’ve only been gone a few minutes. Treats are his love language, and there’s nothing he loves more than a bone or a chew. 🦴 Nate is known to catch a case of the zoomies when let out in the backyard, and he equally enjoys his downtime and peaceful naps.

This quiet gentleman only barks when he has something important to say - like alerting you that a package is being delivered! 📦 His foster parents rave about how easy he is to take out in public. Whether lounging at a coffee shop or dining on a restaurant patio, Nate happily observes the world around him without a fuss.

Nate has always been friendly and social with other dogs at our rescue, and that continues in his foster home. He loves to meet new friends!

At bedtime, Nate tucks into his crate for a peaceful night’s sleep. During the day, he’s earned the privilege of free roaming, proving himself to be a perfect gentleman—no messes or mischief here.

Noah is here to show off his new look! He is a 10-month-old sweetheart who was surrendered to us because they were only allowed one dog in their mobile home community. We were told he was a Labradoodle, but he’s giving us major Poodle vibes! 🐩

Noah is all puppy—playful, full of energy, and without a mean bone in his fluffy 60-pound body. He adores people and just wants to love and be loved. ❤️ While he’s a little nervous in the car right now, we know that will pass once he finds a stable home.

When Noah arrived, he was in rough shape—matted, dirty, and battling an ear infection. But thanks to who donated a grooming, he got the glow-up he deserved and now looks (and feels) like a million bucks! ✨ Just look at that smile!

In just one month, Miracle will celebrate a year of safety with our rescue.

When Miracle came to us, she was barely clinging to life. Brutally abused in Mexico, her frail body told a story of unimaginable pain — severed toes, torn tendons, raw road rash, and starving. As if her body hadn’t endured enough, Miracle was unknowingly pregnant. Despite her suffering, she gave birth to healthy, beautiful puppies who have since found loving homes.

We hoped surgery would repair her damaged legs, but it wasn’t successful. With determination, she has since learned to use a wheelchair for long walks, and we’re working hard to perfect her custom braces so they fit comfortably.

At home, she walks independently on her hocks. She is potty trained, plays with her foster siblings, and enjoys curling up in her dog bed or laying out in the sun.

Despite everything she has been through, Miracle is the most patient, loving soul you’ll ever meet. Miracle needs is someone special to match how truly special she is. She will be your best friend and a constant reminder to cherish every single day.

Meet Conan, named after Conan O’Brien for his good head of hair hair! This sweet boy is 1.5 and 15 pounds. He is a total cuddle bug while also being pretty independent. While he’s content alone, he definitely prefers to be around his people.

Conan’s foster days he has been a dream in the house — no accidents, no issues settling in his crate at night, and he’s great on leash. The only time Conan barks is when he spots his own reflection, which he does not quite understand.

No better way to spend a rainy day than cozied up in matching sweaters! The pups had another fun week filled with peanut butter kongs, long walks, and of course Shilohs weekly pup cup! 🐶

The dogs finished their week by relaxing at The Langham Hotel with puppy yoga, and cheering on our two legged friends at the Los Angeles Marathon!💜

Just like her namesake, Sriracha is more sweet than spicy. She is a 5.5 month old poodle/ terrier who arrived with her mom and brother super shy after spending her entire life in the home where she was born. Now, after just a week with us, she wiggles her butt and wags her little tail with joy at every greeting.

This adorable girl loves to be held and even rests her head on your shoulder like the precious baby she is. Besides some separation anxiety, Wayne is as well trained as they come.
