Dear fellow Friends, Colleagues, Clients, Rescue Groups and Four Legged Friends.

We would like to share with you that after 44 years of practicing we will be closing our doors. As I head into retirement. We tried for several years to find a Veterinarian that would be able to take over our practice and continue one with our care. Unfortunately, we were unable to find anyone willing to purchase the practice and this was a very difficult decision for me to make. I will continue providing care up until February 13. I would also like to offer you the opportunity to pick up any records or information that you may need for your pets by February 16. We do not have digital records so if you would like a copy of your file, please call us at 216-749-6990 so that we can have them ready for when you stop in. Please provide us a few days after your request, so we can get your copies prepared.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thank you for all your support and trust in our care.

Sincerely,

H.S. Sandhu

Update to the abandoned clowder of animals. Thank you to all our clients who were here to witness this and were all ok with waiting a bit longer so we could treat some of the urgent ones for dehydration. We wish them all a speedy recovery and wonderful homes.

We suspect she was hit by a car. She was brought to us by the Metroparks Police for care and rescue. Female age estimate by teeth as 4yrs, spayed and front declawed. We are searching for her owners! Please share. Right now Forever Friends Foundation has assumed her medical costs.

Update: She has been transfered to West Park Animal Hospital for the night.

POSSIBLE LOST CAT AT Cleveland Airport.

She is currently staying with us for a 3 day hold, for her owner to claim her. The rescuers named her Her and this is her story.

Herb meet our caring crazy cat community the Weirdo Cat Lovers of Cleveland. Herb was found in the CLE airport bathroom near the TSA Precheck at departures all alone. Right now this is a LOST KITTY ANNOUNCEMENT. Herb is a she and is in okay condition- no obvious signs of fleas or infection. Say what you want about airport travel, this kitty was grounded by its owner and abandoned in the bathroom through no fault of any airline, or security, at the Cleveland Hopkins Airport. Fortunately, a caring Southwest employee didn't leave her in the bathroom and immediately called me to get her into a rescue. Announcements were made and time was allotted for owner to claim her but no one came. The airport is not a good home for an indoor pet. We are making an announcement in case this kitty is LOST. However, the hold will be for 3 days. If the owner has not made contact with the rescue or me, Forever Friends Foundation will find Herb a furever home. I think Herb is between about 5 to 6 months old.

Herb is currently in our care for the next 3 days to give an owner a chance to claim.

This Old boy was dropped off by Animal Control yesterday. He has a skin infection over a large percentage of his body. We treated him and in the process found he had a microchip! The only thing we had to go by was the owners name as the address and phone number were not changed when they moved here from Texas. Thanks to a bunch of FB posting and others helping track down the owner, she was finally found! This boy escaped after the move and had been missing for almost 3 months! He is back with his family now.

Microchips do work and we love reunions like this! Indoor cats like Odie here should always be chipped as accidents happen.

Chip your pet today!

We cannot stress enough how important it is NOT to feed cooked meat with bones in them to pets. Especially chicken. This poor baby got a bone stuck in the back of his mouth and it caused a huge abscess. This required emergency surgery to place a drain to get infection under control.

He is lucky he did not swallow it and end up with perforated intestines. That could have been a death sentence. Thank you to the good Sam who scooped him up and disposed of the chicken put out for the stray cats, you saved a bunch of lives! Thank you to Forever Friends Foundation for taking the kitten on to find him a home.
