If you’ve been wondering if Declan found his people, wonder no more 🤣 Its official, he’s staying right here with us ! 💚

You may or may not have noticed that we really didn’t post much about Declan searching for a family… that’s because we quickly realized we didn’t need to look any further… he was already home 🫶🏻

Right before Declan returned to us, we had already agreed that we were in absolutely no rush to send him off to a new home. We wanted time to evaluate him & find him the perfect home.
Upon his arrival & to our surprise, (but also not surprised at all…) Declan meshed into our pack & family as if he never left us 3 years prior. Even our most dog-selective pack members accepted him immediately… which is extremely rare. The only hurdle we had to get over was that our oldest cat HATED him(even tho he has always been soso sweet to her). This lasted a couple weeks, but she eventually gave in & has now accepted him.

I know some will ask, so I will go ahead & say it, no he will not be joining our program; he is already neutered. We just love this big guy for everything he is as is 💚

The 4th of July is quickly approaching!
Roughly 1 in 5 dogs go missing around the 4th of July, so it’s very important to take the extra steps necessary to help keep them safe & at home.

Here’s some helpful tips 🇺🇸

Be sure to:
• CHECK/UPDATE YOUR MICROCHIP INFO
• If your dog isn’t microchipped, keep a collar with ID tags on at all times.
• Exercise early!
• Create a safe place for you dog( crate, blanket over table/chair, a bed in their favorite room, etc )
• Utilize white noise, calming music etc to help mask the noise
• Give calming treats 45-60 minutes BEFORE fireworks start ( we like this one https://petfinn.com/products/calming-aid )
• Keep them indoors before fireworks even start
• Use a secure leash/collar ( martingale collars are great for this ) if your dog must go outside to use the bathroom while fireworks are going on
