Bambi’s Army Rescue K9’s received a call from a concerned resident in the City of Parlier about an injured red hawk.

When we arrived, we found him frightened, exhausted, and fighting for his life. We carefully wrapped him in a blanket and rushed him to San Joaquin Veterinary Hospital, hoping there was still a chance.

The veterinarian discovered devastating injuries from a cat attack. His wounds were too severe, and the most compassionate gift we could give was a peaceful goodbye.

Because he was protected wildlife, cremation was not permitted. Instead, we were given a footprint — a reminder that his life mattered and that he was loved.

Though we only knew him for a short time, he touched our hearts forever.

Fly high, beautiful hawk. May your wings carry you safely across the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🦅

🐾 Colony Cat Feeding Update & Donation Request 🐾

Today the colony cats got spoiled! ❤️ We served up a feast of chicken, sardines and wet food. As you can see from the photos, there were plenty of happy little faces waiting for dinner.

Feeding a colony adds up quickly, and any help is greatly appreciated. Two cats have spay and neutering appointments next week if anyone wants to sponsor $30 for each cat. Even small donations make a big difference: We can always use

🐱 A $5 WinCo gift card helps us purchase chicken in bulk.
🐱 A bag of cat food.
🐱 A case of wet food delivered.
🐱 Sardines, mackerel, or other cat-safe treats.
🐱 Any amount you’re able to contribute.

These cats depend on us every single day, and every donation goes directly toward keeping their bellies full while we continue caring for them.

Today’s special menu: 🍗 Chicken & 🐟 Sardines!

Thank you to everyone who has helped so far. Whether it’s food, a gift card, sharing this post, or simply cheering us on, it all helps more than you know. ❤️🐾

Friday night colony cats 😺

According to the internet: “Spaying reduces aggression and creates a calmer temperament.”

That is the biggest piece of fiction I’ve read all year.

This cat got spayed and somehow came back more demanding
The other cats eat together like normal members of society.

Not her.

She refuses to eat with the other cats because she believes they are peasants

I have to serve her separately

If another cat even looks in her direction while she’s eating, she files an immediate complaint and starts throwing paws.

She sits there glaring at the other cats like:

“These peasants are not authorized to dine with me.”

Spayed?

Yes.

Calm?

Absolutely not.

Saturday evening feeding and care of feral cat colonies. This week, I will be posting video updates featuring additional cats undergoing Trap-Neuter-Return procedures.

A huge THANK YOU for your donation of wet cat food and kibble! 🐱❤️ Every dollar means so much, and we do our best to stretch it as far as possible to help feed the City of Parlier colony cats.

Because of your support, we were also able to go to the store today and purchase 10-pound bags of chicken to boil for them (they absolutely love their chicken broth! 🍗), plus some Costco rotisserie chicken too. These kitties know when they’re being spoiled!

We truly appreciate every bit of kindness and generosity. Next, we’re getting started with TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) We believe we’ll be able to fit the traps under our vehicle so we can safely stay off the property and not get arrested.

Thank you again for helping us care for these babies. We couldn’t do it without you! 🐾

We also noticed some neighborhood cats from nearby houses sneaking over to eat with the colony cats. 🤣 They’ve got homes, comfy beds, but apparently they’ve decided they’d rather live that “street cat” lifestyle.

These cats said, “Yes, I have a family… but do they serve boiled chicken broth and rotisserie on demand?” 🍗🐱

Basically, they’re not homeless… they’re just food critics with options. 😂🐾
