The total as of yesterday was $12,848.70 for our Lucky Dog joggling-for-a-cause fundraiser to support the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter. Apparently, donations are still trickling in so we will leave the link up for a few more days and maybe top the $13k mark. Thanks for thinking of the homeless animals who are waiting to be adopted. Adopt a pet if you’re ready for that commitment. Spay and neuter. Currently, the Shelter is completely full of homeless dogs and cats. Let’s all do our part to help them. Donation link in comments

I made it and finished in about 5 hours 45 minutes or so, I think. Not kidding, It was really hard and not that pretty at times. My fingers and hands started to cramp the last 5 miles adding to the difficulty factor. But it’s done and the Lucky Dogs are thankful the fundraiser was a success.

The Lucky Dogs say THANK YOU for your amazing generosity. Going into tomorrow’s Bighorn 18 mile joggle, we have raised more than $12,000 for the Sheridan Dog and Cat Shelter . A community with a well supported and funded animal shelter is a better community. I’m registered for the race under the name Lucky Dog, bib # 1209, if you want to check the results to see how I did. Last year, after hanging glow sticks to mark the trail at night for the Bighorn 100 mile run, I stood on top of what’s know as the “wall” and juggled these lighted balls through the night. The runners could see only these weird balls dancing around in the pitch dark for several miles as they made the tough 2,500 ft climb out of Little Horn Canyon and into the Dry Fork. It had more than a few runners thinking they were hallucinating in the middle of the night, but hopefully it helped some focus on something other than the tough climb. As our most recent Giving Fund drawing winners, our office staff have chosen to donate to the Dog & Cat Shelter, Inc. in partnership with Lucky Dog Adventures!

If you haven't yet heard, Jim Zier, the owner Lucky Dog Adventures will be participating in the this weekend running the 18-mile race while "Joggling for a Cause" to raise money for our Sheridan Dog & Cat Shelter! Huge thank you to my friend David Mcdougall for donating the art work for our highly coveted joggling-for-a-cause/lucky dogs for shelter dogs fundraiser tee shirts and tumblers.
