🐔 A Tough Winter at Buck Run Coop 🐔

It’s been a long, cold winter, and our hens at Buck Run Coop have had a rough season. ❄️ Between the frigid temps and shorter days, egg production has been slow, and unfortunately, we’re also down a few hens due to some unfortunate events (not bird flu-related).

Because of this, we’ll be closed until April 1st (no joke!) so our flock can recover and get back to laying consistently as the days get longer. 🌞🐓

To those who have reached out and haven’t received a response—I sincerely apologize! It’s been a hectic season, but I truly appreciate your support and patience.

Thank you for understanding, and we can’t wait to have fresh eggs for you again soon! 🥚💛

Due to chicken feed increasing in costs, we have decided to raise our prices. At BRC we try our hardest provid a quality product at an affordable price. The increase helps us ensure our commitment to providing the very best pastured eggs and service to you.

It’s fall y’all! Make this Caramel Pumpkin Pie recipe with none other then Buck Run Coop Eggs!

1 refrigerated rolled pie crusts
1 (15-ounce) can pumpkin puree
1 1/4 cups heavy cream
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup caramel sauce, plus more for garnish
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon flaky sea salt, plus more for garnish
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
2 tablespoons pumpkin pie spice

Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°F. Transfer pie crust to pie dish. Press crust into pie dish and crimp edges.
Whisk pumpkin, 1 1/4 cups heavy cream, brown sugar, eggs, salt, vanilla and pumpkin pie spice together until smooth.
Pour pumpkin mixture into prepared pie crust. Bake until crust is golden-brown and filling is set, about 35-45 minutes. Cool on wire rack for at least 1 hour before serving.
Top pie with a drizzle of caramel sauce and salt. Slice and serve.
