BOARDING: Stants K9 Suites is a small, personalized boarding kennel located between Parker and Callensburg, Pa, 20 minutes from Clarion. Our kennel is geared towards the owner who wants something a little different than the average boarding kennel or maybe has a senior or anxious dog who needs a calmer, quiet environment, yet our prices are below most boarding kennels. Being a small kennel, we ca

n offer personalized one on one care that the larger kennels cannot. Our indoor kennels are 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 ft and each has a connecting door to a 5 1/2 x 10 ft covered outdoor run, canine guests have indoor/outdoor access weather permitting from 7 am to 10 pm. Five times a day our boarders are let out of their runs to go potty and just stretch their legs for individual or family play time, they get to play ball or just get some love at no extra cost to you. TV is on during the day and a soft radio at night just like home. We allow you to bring your pets bed if you feel they would be more comfortable as well as their favorite toys, even your old slipper! We live onsite and our canine guests are monitored with cameras 24 hrs a day. Amy has over 40 yrs in the dog world, everything from a vet assistant to a 72 run kennel manager where she felt it was a nice facility, but it lacked that one on one personalized attention to its boarders which is important when mom and/or dad are away. An animal shelter in Mercer County is on lockdown due to a parvovirus outbreak.

Thank you Jim for tinting the windows in the Kitty Palace! It's a mirrored tint so the kitties can see out but when the dogs are in the yard they can't see in. 🙂🐾🐈

Not something we want to think about but I have had several people ask me if I knew anyone who did at home euthanasia, I picked this business card up at the vets office today, hoping you never need it but having it available in our area is a blessing.

Our Story

I began grooming dogs in 1982 while still working as a veterinary assistant in Ohio which I did for 10 yrs, in 1990 I left the Veterinarian and opened my own grooming shop. After moving to Pennsylvania in 2009 I closed my shop in Ohio but still remained loyal to my most special clients traveling back to Cleveland once a month to take care of the dogs who had been with me the longest, I continued that trek until 2012. Now I operate solely at my salon near Parker, Pa. We show Standard Poodles and as expected I specialize in poodles but I groom all breeds 50 lbs and under and refer larger dogs to a fellow groomer in the area. I am patient with wiggly puppies and understanding with senior dogs, with over 35 yrs experience not much upsets me! I am a certified groomer and I do one dog at a time so each dog has their own time slot, usually I have your precious pup for only about 90 minutes. I don’t believe in assembly line style grooming like the larger salons do. My prices are very reasonable because I am a dog owner too and I understand. All my grooms are “full grooms” meaning they include a bath, ear cleaning, nail trim, clip and a**l gland expression, I have no “hidden charges”. I practice humanity before vanity in my salon and if your dog comes in with matts that are too painful for him or her to be brushed out I will clip short and we will start over "It's all about the dogs" here!

March 1, 2019 we open Stants K9 Suites a small personalized boarding kennel. I kept my kennel small so that I can offer individual care to each of our furry boarders. We only have 4 spacious indoor/outdoor kennels with an additional fenced in exercise area for individual and family playtime. Our Suites are heated and air conditioned, a TV during the day and a soft radio at night just like home. I also have a surveillance camera so I can check in on everyone at any time day or night. I am a certified pet sitter, fully licensed, inspected and insured.
