3-D Obedience is back in Denver—starting June 3 at 4pm!

This class is for the teams who’ve already done the groundwork—now it’s time to proof it.

In 3-D Obedience, we focus on the three pillars that truly test your dog’s reliability:
Distance. Duration. Distraction.

Can your dog stay while you walk across a busy park?
Hold position with another dog walking past?
Come when called—even with squirrels, smells, or strangers nearby?

That’s what we build here. 🐾

You’ll learn how to strengthen your dog’s obedience by isolating and gradually layering these three challenges—giving them the tools and confidence to stay consistent even when the picture changes.

Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about what it means to do things on your own terms. To not rush the process. To trust the bond, the work, the timing.

This month, I got to see that pay off in the obedience ring—with both of my dogs.

Eden earned her CD and her Rally Advanced title, and did it all with that classic floofy joy of hers. She’s not a dog that you'd expect to see in the obedience ring—she’s an Alaskan Malamute, after all. But she loves to work. She’s eager. And she makes me smile every single time we step in the ring together.

Bachelor—my sweet, goofy show boy—earned his Rally Novice title. He’s growing into himself, learning the ropes, and getting ready to make his obedience debut this fall. And honestly? I think he’s going to surprise some people.

No pressure. No shortcuts. Just clear communication, mutual trust, and a whole lot of play along the way.

These wins aren’t just about the titles—they’re about the journey it took to get here. And I couldn’t be more proud of these two.

It was a black dog day today.

Puppies are pretty dang predictable and these boys are proof of that! Different homes, different breeds, different backgrounds and yet we covered the same topics in their individual lessons. Jumping, play biting/nipping, barking, and fundamental leash manners were on the menu today. That, and lots of puppy cuddles of course!

I'm excited that you're looking into building a better relationship with your dog, and would be honored to help you in the process.

After adopting my dog Crosby from a local rescue in 2014, I jumped head first into the world of rescuing and fostering dogs. I discovered quickly that most dogs coming through rescue had some sort of behavior issue whether it be separation anxiety, socialization, fear, anxiety, leash reactivity, or aggression. I also began to realize that I had a natural awareness with dogs and their behavior that allowed me to get them successful for their adoptive homes.
