Found Russian tortoise in Parker. Colorado. Found near Cherry Creek Trail by the Cottonwood neighborhood Jordan & Bluegrass. Currently at Parker Exotic Pets. Please provide evidence of ownership. Please don't contact us with offers of a home for her. We really want to see her go back to her owners!

Painted turtles and box turtles are native to Colorado. If you find one, leave it. Red-eared sliders are NOT native here. They belong in the southeastern US. They are highly invasive and are displacing Colorado's native turtles at an alarming rate, just as they've already done to California's native pond turtles. Seeing the number of people who think red-eared sliders are native to Colorado after posting our Pawboost alert regarding the one recently turned in to us is disheartening. A basic Google native range search on them will back our claim. There is a REASON we don't participate in the aquatic turtle trade. DON'T LET YOUR TURTLES OUT UNATTENDED.
