It's getting chilly! 🥶Cold weather can affect your pet's joints, skin, activity, and routines. Here are a few tips to prepare your pet for wintertime:
- Provide a warm and cozy space off of the floor and away from drafts
- Sweaters or jackets are great for short-haired, small or senior pets
- Limit your pet's time outside in the extreme cold
- Some pets' nutrition needs might change during the winter. Talk to your vet if you think this might be the case.

Higgins looks confused because the box should be full of toys! We tried to explain to him that the Toys for Tots toy drive doesn't start until Mon., Nov. 10, but he was still sad. We know you want to help Higgins feel better; multiply that feeling by 1000x for how you'll feel helping children within our community have a better holiday!

What to donate: New, unwrapped toys for all age groups
Who to the toys go to: Disadvantaged children right here in the Valley
When to donate: Anytime between Nov. 10 and Dec. 8

Meeting our patients when they're wiggly little youngsters and getting to watch them grow into wonderful companions is such an honor and one of the highlights of being in the veterinary field. In just four years Buddy has gone from an adorable fluffball to a distinguised gentleman (albeit still adorable). We love being here for all the life stages of your family members, both two- and four-legged!

Wildlife officials are seeing more cases of canine distemper in coyotes and foxes nearby. This contagious virus can spread to unvaccinated dogs, but the good news is—it’s preventable!

✅ Keep your dog’s vaccines up to date (call us if you're unsure of your dog's vaccination status)
✅ Leash walks only—no roaming or sniffing wildlife
✅ Report sick wildlife to AZGFD, not animal control

If Kai gets lost, he's got no way to call home...but a microchip can help reunite him with his owner! Microchips are a quick, safe and permanent way to link your pet to you. Collars and tags can get lost, but a registered microchip is forever! Today is National Check the Chip Day: if your pet isn't chipped, call now to schedule an appointment to get it done, and if he is, make sure the registration information is current. Because a face like Kai's needs to be safe and sound at home!
